Overview
An info broker with an obsessive amount of general knowledge, John-Doe holds a middling position in the Seattle hierarchy as the head of an independent detective agency that serves as a front for a much seedier business. A household name in the underbelly of the Emerald City, John-Doe is the go-to guy for the latest news, rumors, and general activity in the criminal underworld.
GM Notes
- John-Doe grew up on the etiquette of back-stabbing, two-timing, scheming and serving few people but himself. He enjoys Shadowrunners because they provide him with a good amount of entertainment and while he won’t go out of his way to screw his clients over- one should instill a healthy amount of mischief in his character. He might try and sway a runner into investigating something more dangerous than usual, so long as he can hear about the outcome. He will always be a little devil on your shoulder, feeding into bad ideas and impulses for the sake of shaking the hornet’s nest and seeing what comes out of it.
- While he’s got a solid name for himself, he falls just short of upper-echelon and thus can rarely spare the nuyen for frivolous expenditures and luxuries. He’s a sucker for high-life goods, like real, fresh sushi, high grade alcohol, or.. Occasionally… Blackmail on various aristocrats.
- Despite his wide network of informants, John-Doe has few friends to call his own due to his conniving and capricious nature. He’s secretly rather lonely, and maliciously copes with this by gently provoking the runners he works with. If someone expresses various forms of weakness while on the line with him- John-Doe will purposely taunt the person to attempt and get them riled up about whatever mission their on.
