Overview
A formerly legitimate doctor. Redgloves' gambling debts skyrocketed and he was eventually forced to work for the Shotozumi-gumi. His debt was sold to the Kenran-kai, and he worked-off the remainder with them. He harbors no, or minimal, ill will towards the Kenran-kai, maybe a little more towards to the Shotozumi-gumi. As such, he still makes his services available to both, but will grumble and guilt trip as he does so.
Old Redgloves is not old. Not really. He's a japanese man in his late-40s. The "Old" part of his nickname comes from his total premature graying and haggard appearance from a life of stress and substance abuse in illegal casinos. His sense of fashion could be called "Thrifty Sailor" or "Homeless Fisherman" with a hit of punk rock accenting his extensive tattoos. The stench of stale cigarettes in his presence is so strong you could probably pick it up on the astral.
