Background

Born as a prototype for a military endeavor from the now Defunct "AO Industrial Applications" (assets absorbed by EVO) - James was a prototype soldier. While not as physically intimidating as one would expect at birth, never quite excelling at feats of strength - they always showed great physical mobility. Education was sparse as a child, though regardless, enhancements enabled them to be a fast learner - and while they are still not the brightest individual, they show great acuity to the subjects they researched.

During the companies recession - him, alongside many other Transhumans were given an option that would eventually lead to freedom - assets needed to be sold to aid, and a very 'friendly' merc team was looking for some indentured service - enroll in the companies forces, and be given freedom after 10 years of service. Many were keen on taking this option, and the remaining were salvaged to rekindle investments (though they were never told this.)

They had a successful career as a gun for hire in a fixed team. They became the defacto voice for a small squad that became their family, the deserts were all they knew, going to and fro the battlefield, it became a way of life.
