Overview

Shi Hikase is an artificial entity that has dedicated a large percentage of its computational ability on the understandings of Mana, Essence - and oddly, the Metahuman body. As a Matrix bound entity, Shi understands their situation is tied to a facility they cannot simply interact with - and queries if the same link is apparent with the "Living" creatures to a second increased plane of existence, The Science is still extremely new - despite the topic being ages old - though Shi aims to gain and increased understanding of the Universe they inhabit to further manipulate their surroundings to a more - fortunate - situation in case of disaster. A large facet is they aim to be mobile beyond their miniscule facility, and backed up in the case of core failure - while many of these solutions have pointed towards CFD infection as a possible alternative - for some reason while in full knowledge of the possibility, Shi currently views the solutions as unsatisfactory. (To note, they are not morally opposed however).

Shi's existence is binded to a caved in research facility at Help with this? Don't know an area secluded enough, close/in Seattle to permit that it has overtime been able to refurbish into something that actually works. Dispensing illicit wares from the auto-assemblers within. The AI was fortunate to be on a separate grid of Krupp design, though the facilities furnishings are Japan Corp. in nature. Its memory was rather Fragmented - and the Host it is stuck on, while powerful enough to run it, is not a comfortable solution. The drones it commands around the facility are antiquanted, though for most personal dealings, it uses a old i-Doll with a shattered face and bloodied body. It has enticed a few of the less, desirable, clients from the awakened spectrum with free (and consistent) healthcare so long as it has access to their bodies for further research.

Shis dealings are it's own, it is Selfish - and if it commits any act of generosity, it is always in securing assets and increasing security in its tasks. Shi is not a person, though understands basic social conventions, it just depends if they are too busy to utilize them. While understanding of manipulation of the Meta-Human mind through social circumstance, unless an entity is blissfully unaware of their surroundings. Shis general existence is obvious towards their depraved sciences, which is cause for their terrible social ability.

Uncanny Existence	Like many things, Shi is not quiet understood by many of its contacts. Inhabiting what is best described as a rotting metal carcass, with the social latency of a Monad, with most sapients only interacting through necessity rather than by choice. {Cannot be used for networking checks. At GMs discretion, penalties to both KNOW/GEAR checks can be enacted due to the abnormalities in its existence/lifestyle - active checks are limited to its compound, or relevant auto-doc facility}
Not Enough Hands	Shi is always busy on either their own experiments, or pre-paid assignments from a wide array of less-legitimate clients. As such, free time for runners is a premium, and if help is offered, it usually has a additional cost. {Roll loyalty at a threshold of 3(2 if in person) to see if Shi is currently assigned to a clients task. A increased threshold at the GMs discretion (Example, working with uninteresting clients) can be chosen alongside to see if Shi requires additional aid/resources to offer their assistance.}
Repossessed Awakened Cadaver	With routine inspections, and a Biomonitor as part of the agreement - Shi is rather possessive of research opportunities on Awakened/SURGE individuals. Any time Shi is called or delivers a job to a runner, the single following run takes a 1 reduction in comforts from Shi actively experimenting on you (This does not stack with itself). Alongside this: At <5 Loyalty - If you get any permanent medical assistance (E.G Stim-Patches are not permanent, Trauma Patches are) that is not from Shi - you must pay a chip in debt of the deal. At 5/6 Loyalty - if you get any permanent medical assistance (E.G Stim-Patches are not permanent, Trauma Patches are) that is not from Shi - Shi is willing to forgive you at no chips indebted assuming you allow it to conduct a reapplication of events for research (Increase the DV of fatigue by 2 if under 3 comfort) This quality can be declined by Awakened/SURGED characters, and has no effect to Mundane characters. If declined after it was once accepted, reduce Shis loyalty by 2, if at 0, Shi assumes you are not a reliable assets and is lost as a contact (though can be rebought later).

(AP) Awakened Projects	Character must be in effect of "Repossessed Awakened Cadavers" to utilize this quality Shi prioritizes the one percent of entities for their endeavors - due to acquisitions of willing subjects seeking cheap medical care - Shi has successfully amassed "cadavers" to experiment on - and tends to further effort for these to sustain research quotas. [+2 to checks for Awakened/SURGE characters]
(UR) Unrestricted Research	Shi doesn't care for flimsy ethical concerns - and as such is known for exporting/importing unique pieces of data from a few very private hosts. [+2 on knowledge checks on government/corporate medical experiments]
(EDR) Enhanced Design Research	Shi works with augmented bodies on a regular basis, and alongside their understanding of anatomy - they have learned for mechanical techniques for cyberware, and enhanced techniques for working with bioware. [+2 on Medical checks on wared]
(AMP) Adapted Medical Protocols	Shi has amassed a large amount of living or dead "Cadavers" - and as such, is extremely well acquainted with abnormal physiologies. [+2 on Medical checks on Awakened]
(SAAC) Standardized Augmentation Acquisition Contracts	Shi has multiple contracts specialized in the acquisitions of wares on a regular basis. [+2 to checks involving augmentation.]
(UNA) Unsanctioned Nanoware Applications	Shi either doesn't realize, or doesn't care about the possible repercussions of unaudited Nanoware applications. And as such, has a easier time retrofitting/modifying metallic wares. [+2 to checks involving Cyber/Nanoware.]

(RP) Redundancy Protocols	It's unknown to many if Shi is a past Monad inhabiting a corpse, or a free AI that focuses on one decrepit, albeit unique drone chassis.
