Overview

Springtime Birch is a rancher in the lands of the Cascade Orks of the Salish-Shidhe Council. A young and gifted Doctor of Parazoology, Springtime Birch has faced severe employment discrimination due to his unabashed ork identity and unashamed association with the less-than-scrupulous Cascade Orks tribe. Shut out of academic circles and zoological institutions because of his unapologetic nature, he has turned to offering services to the PNW shadow community to help make ends meet. A runner looking for consultation on parazoological security threats, or help taming and/or raising a paracritter, can find no one better suited.

Aspect	Description
Domineering	Springtime Birch is a prodigy. Beyond ordinary book smarts he has an innate connection to wildlife that is preternatural. Simply put: he’s incredible. And he knows it. He’s going to make sure you know it, too. Players must succeed on an Etiquette (1) test to display appropriate layperson awe at his knowledge and talents or, out of petty irritation, his services will cost twice as much.
No Gamecock	Springtime Birch has little respect for people, but abundant respect for nature. He’s more than happy to help tame and train critters, both para and normal, but he will not train them for combat. If they have innate predatory instincts, so be it, but they will not suffer in pitfights under his watch. If Springtime Birch discovers that the (para)critters he’s training are being subjected to suicide work or bloodsports he will immediately burn the player and become their sworn enemy.
Ork of the Cascades	Springtime Birch is most comfortable away from city lights and urban blight. The Council lands are his home and he knows them better than the back of his hand. (+2 dice to all tests involving the Salish-Shidhe Council, including service checks if performed within Council Lands)
Master of the Wilds	Springtime Birch is a natural. Animals of all types view him with less suspicion and find that they lower their guard around him. Nearly all creatures will give Springtime the benefit of the doubt, even if they fear metahumans otherwise. (+2 dice to all Animal Handling tests)
PhfuckingD	Doesn’t matter if no one you know has read it, he still wrote a book about parazoology and parazoological training techniques. Hell he’ll tell you that he’s written the only book on the topic worth reading. (+2 dice to all Animal Handling tests involving paracritters)
Tailored Critter Pheromones (Base Layer: Canidae)	Tailored Critter Pheromones are complicated cocktails, working on layers of pheromones to build a powerful and overwhelming scent-based aura. The cocktail that Springtime has emanating from his flesh is specifically designed to aid with the many branches of the canidae clade. (+2 dice to all tests involving any member of the canidae clade)
Tailored Critter Pheromones (Secondary Layer: Magicae Canidae)	The second layer of his TCP is more advanced, designed to work with the slightly different olfactory and brain receptors of awakened members of the clade. (+2 dice to all tests involving any awakened paracritter of the greater canidae clade)
Tailored Critter Pheromones (Final Layer: Canis Lupus Aesiri)	The last pheromone layer is specifically targeted to Fenrir wolves. Their intelligence and pack nature nearly requires tailored critter pheromones to allow for the level of comfort necessary to establish mutual respect for training. (+2 dice to all tests involving Canis Lupus Aesiri, aka the “Fenrir Wolf”)
