Overview

Tecomah followed a traditional 'name-trail,' having been given the name of 'Rabbit-Tail' at birth. When he reached adulthood, he earned the name 'Tecomah' (Giver of Water) by rescuing a caravan stranded in the Mojave. Official UCAS records list his family's surname as 'Carpenter,' but the shaman has - for the most part - allowed his Christian name to fall by the wayside.

He served close to a decade as a ranger for the Salish-Shidhe Council, until a particular incident shattered his knee and gave him a permanent limp. An awakened shaman, Tecomah has so far refused artificial replacement. He tends to rely on a walking stick for extended journeys.

Even after being forcibly retired, Tecomah is drawn to both the wilds and to service. He makes a comfortable income as a skilled 'Coyote,' a cross-border smuggler of people. In this business, his most frequent point of contact is Sahalé. The job is a means to an end, however, and he uses the funds to support his primary occupation - hunting the practitioners of toxic magic and those who have been infested with invae.

Appearance

Tecomah looks older than his years, having developed early expression creases around his mouth and wisdom lines around his eyes. His gaze compounds this - even a glance reveals that the man has seen far too much to have gone unscathed by his experiences.

Just shy of six feet, he has a lean physique and sun-bronzed, leathery skin. His long black hair is frequently braided and interwoven with beads. When facing battle, he prefers red warpaint in the form of three parallel, horizontal lines.

Personality

Were Tecomah to play a part on a fantasy trid, he would be cast as a veteran paladin. Principled and unflinching in the face of evil, the former Salish ranger travels far and wide in search of threats to metahumanity. He has a deceptively gentle and soft-spoken way with words, one that belies a fierce fighting spirit and a willingness to die while fighting otherworldly evils.

As Tecomah is ever on the move, he is rarely available for in-person services. Rather he is the person to call for consultation, as he has personal experience fighting a wide array of magical threats.
