Background

Born in the wild veldt of Azania, and spent the first years of his life raised as an ordinary lion. One day, poachers attempted to take him and his fellow lions as trophies but were driven off by servants of Mujaji, the Great Feathered Serpent protects who the endangered species. The sight of the feathered dragonkin filled him with a sense of wanderlust, leading him to explore beyond the pride's territory and the tribal lands of the Xhosa into that of the Zulu Nation.

While drinking at an oasis, he was injured by a lurking crocodile - though he managed to get away from it, the blood from his wounds attracted a pack of hyenas who attempted to finish the job. Before they could do so, a Zulu hunter rescued him and brought him to their tribal shaman to have his wounds tended to. The gesture of kindness drove him to adopt a wakyambi visage in order to communicate his gratitude; in turn, his saviors taught him their language and customs.

Upon returning to Xhosa lands, his new metahuman form was greeted with a mixed reception due to the historical animosity between the tribes - after spending some time integrating himself into society he found himself seeking to further expand his horizons, traveling first to Cape Town then beyond Azania's boarders. Some time in the African shadows earned him a reputation as a smooth-talking problem solver, leading him to travel to the UCAS to seek new prospects.
