Summary

A joint project between EVO and Proteus to create a Prototype Transhuman, he was built under the guise of deep-sea operations ad thus operates well underwater.

Goals

- Remove the ridiculous ware, gain some semblance of normalcy

Background

Grown in a vat as a joint project between Evo and Proteus and "raised" in the pristine white walls of an EVO lab, Vulcan was nothing but another project to them. Made as a Giant, Evo and Proteus wanted to see how far they could take the sturdier biology of the Metatype for the express purpose of creating further abominations. They beat him, indoctrinated him and did all in their power to remove any semblance of apathy or morality this machine would end up having. As the sole creation of Project [REDACTED] and predecessor to many of EVO's current Super Soldiers, Vulcan had his mind wiped, legs severed and replaced with treads similar to what would find on a Tank. They took his arms, his body, his face... they even grew varying bioware inside of him all because they could. This left him a monster, his brain was wired, his limbs cold and strangely enough damaged his voice, leaving it robotic and like gravel. This strange "upbringing" and damage to his brain meant that connecting with others on any level, even trying to talk to the average person is a Herculean task for him. The original intent behind his creation was lost, chalked up to Proteus' mad science and EVO's want to test new products though records have shown that he could have been built for deep-sea work and combat should the need arise.

However, in their eyes, he was a failure. He is not sure why, he is not sure who believed him undeserving of life, but they rejected him and decided to use the knowledge they gained from Vulcan to make other projects, destroying him in the process. For weeks before his destruction he laid dormant, using every waking moment to try prove himself to Proteus Scientists without success. He had, in some dark turn, accepted his fate, believing himself a failure, not deserving of life. There was one light, a laboratory researcher, Dr.Mclain, who had helped keep him, the only person to ever show him a shred of decency. She helped him escape, giving him some hope of life, he refused at first but eventually decided that going out into the world could show his worth and so drove off into the distance.

He was pointed towards a Fixer, Mint, someone who could show him where he could begin his new life and repair his ware should it ever be damaged and as such was smuggled into Redmond where he could keep away from prying eyes. He clearly couldn't work in the light with the average man, so he took to the Shadows hopefully to find purpose for himself, why he was created and to find those who belittled him on the vengeful side of his "failures".

Appearance

A Giant that has had his entire body replaced with Cybernetics. He stands at roughly 15 feet tall due the the Tracks that have replaced his legs. His skin is pale and his hair doesn't seem to grow. His cybernetics have been designed in a somewhat Soviet/Neo-Soviet style. Due to the influences around him in EVO, he speaks with a Russian accent. He appears to be wearing a diving suit under his heavy armour plating.
