Summary

A number of runners were contacted anonymously for a rather brutal piece of work in a part of town where Knight Errant weren't likely to care too much to bust in fast, to help right a little wrong for a gang unknowingly.

Background

The Ancients had been trying to close a trade deal for a new drug smuggling route. However, their client had decided to take the money in an ambush and run with it to pay off a debt to the Cutters, going right behind the Ancients' back and thoroughly pissing them off. Luckily for one side of this little conflict, the place where this new side of the 'deal' was happening, a building in Puyallup's Loveland that had been abandoned and taken by the Cutters, had been sniffed out. Wanting to send a message, the Ancients' get into contact with Haven members discreetly, picking out a group whom they believe have loose enough motives and worrying methodologies of removing personhood to send a suitable message: Don't double cross your betters.

The Meet

Brine, Gav, White Thistle, and W are all contacted individually for the mission in a rather strange way: first, they receive what appears to be a wrong number call on their commlinks with some frivolous matters, but each one mentions the same address. Then a few minutes later, a worryingly anonymous package is dropped in front of their domiciles containing a mask, some basic details of the job offering, and the payout of 10k nuyen. While most have reasonable reservations about following the instructions of a mysterious note, the allure of a quick payday for some and...well, murder for some others, lures them out to the building.

The Plan

The gang gets together and prepares outside the building, quickly identifying each other as the other runners on the job before coming up with...less a plan, more a general sociopathic "Don't get in my way" response. Which, is to be expected considering the types being brought for this kind of work. They pair off and take one of two entrances, and prepare to blitz the building.

The Run

What follows is an absolute slaughter of the Cutters inside and the one man unlucky enough to try and get a sweeter deal. Through all three floors, the group left a bloody canyon. Not even the lieutenant overseeing the operation stood much of a chance against the wave crashing down on them. After killing the rat without hesitation and rather sadistically and taking back the briefcase, the team is easily able to head over to the drop off point and leave the case behind the dumpster

Aftermath

The Ancients are able to retrieve their case a few hours later, and are pleased what is rightfully theirs. A few days pass for the sake of anonymity, and the runners receive their 10 thousand in smaller installments throughout the next few days for frivolous little 'refunds' and the like.
