Background

Born and Raised in Fun City, LA to Grounds Technicians for Horizon, Theodore and Emily Burel.

No interest in following parent's footsteps, early on wished to be in Horizon's security forces. A journalist, Enrique Carrillo, meant to document public interactions for PR purposes was assign to Anthony's patrol. Initially a rocky relationship, Anthony viewing Enrique as being far too in the way of his job, and Enrique believing Anthony wasn't friendly enough on camera. However, a brief bump in popularity for the pair arose after managing to stumble into a large weapons deal being moved by the local mafia elements. While both managed to get away by the skin of their teeth, the even momentary success left Enrique with the desire to angle for more investigative journalism, Anthony finding himself more and more as a bodyguard for the man, seemingly an expert to get his camera in the wrong place at the right time. As Enrique experienced increasing popularity, Anthony did by proxy and participated in an short-lived exercise program, 'CyberBurn: Augmented Exercises', aimed more at people who have been recently augmented with muscle replacers. Even after it ceased production, he maintained an occasional interest in fitness routines. After working nearly a decade together, Anthony receives a panicked call late into the night from Enrique, after rushing to meet the man at his home, he finds it undisturbed, only the light in the editing room turned on. Entering the room, Enrique lay dead, a single shot to the back, and several AR screens spread around the room, looping video from a few of the camera drones still present. It was footage of Anthony walking in, and firing at Enrique, a twisted face of surprise and anguish on the dying man's face. The sirens already tingling on his ears, he flees the home, and soon the country, for the shadows of Seattle, a recent venture Enrique had been planning on, with only minimal contacts made before hand. Anthony contacted who he could before the news of what had occurred reached too far in Horizon's networks, trying his best to get far away enough from anything they could find in Enrique's information, leaving him with even fewer contacts. The failure to keep Enrique safe gnaws at him, but the thought of revenge, or justice seems distant for the moment, deciding now needs to be focused on surviving.
