Character Information

Summary

A jarhead owned by Ares. Loves life, long drives on the beach, and getting other runners into or out of whatever situation they may find themselves in.

Goals

Upgrades, people, upgrades! Gotta get the best drones, the best weapons, and best friends.

Rise up the corporate ladder (as best a brain in a jar can anyway).

Keep as many runners in his care alive as possible.

Obtain a shell he finds most comfortable. Oh, and it has to get the job done - whatever that job may be.

Background

Created and trained by Ares Macrotechnology as a form of 'asset retrieval and personnel carrier', Getaway was quickly locked away into his CCU and jacked into VR for training on how to perform the tasks required. The few moments he spent outside of VR were long enough for dark thoughts to creep up. Hatred of Ares for making him, the realization that he would never have any of the fleshy bits that makes a person a person, so and so forth. However, eventually that would change. Seeing how he improved caused a sense of pride to poke its head through, especially as it seemed to make those that tinkered on and poked at him happy. It wasn't much, but he learned to appreciate the little things. A year and a half later and he was authorized to pilot his first physical vehicle. A month later, a drone. It almost seemed like he was about to get his first shell, but due to some reason he wasn't privy to it would seem he'd have to hold out longer on that, though for the time being he was given a heavily kitted out Ares Roadmaster and a basic drone that he'd upgrade over the next few months.

Upon reaching three, it was considered time for him to start actually producing results. So he did. For the next two years he worked at Ares' behest without (much) complaint. Performing admirably, his superiors found it lucrative to see about introducing him into shadowrunning. This would serve as a way to keep an eye on other runners, scouting talents, and as a way for Getaway to get better experience outside of the experienced uniform he had been working with.
