Summary
The UCAS army through N-51 is looking to continue to push forward following the victory at Ruhrmetal. Before committing force they want an advanced team to slip behind hostile lines and recon the area.
Background
The N-51 captured a small town in the SOX (See La Nouvelle Cavalerie) thanks to a group of plucky runners and an old ass tank. With that town under UCAS control attention has turned to the new evolving front with Saeder-Krupp. A recon mission was requested from the upper brass before any new offensive begins.
The Meet
N-51 wants the team to provide recon services of the SK command outpost north of Ruhrmetal. The team will be air dropped in with one of the N-51's elite teams and once behind lines will conduct a recon of the enemy forces. N-51 wants to find out if there are any elite assets supporting the SK forces as well as the status of possible reinforcements and equipment deployed to the line.
The Plan
Thunder will provide support to the team should they be discovered and need rapid extraction. Meanwhile Fennec and Nu11st@ck matrix over watch and drone surveillance. The team suspected offline matric access to the base terminals, Chameleon will slip into the base plant data taps to access these systems.
The Run
The air drop went smooth, Thunder dropped with his own parashot while the rest of the team tandem dropped with N-51 spec ops. Once on the ground Nu11st@ck launched a flyspy and began to recon the area while the team began to circle counter clockwise around the compound. While moving they noted any artillery and heavy machine gun emplacements. The region was dark and rainy which provided ample cover from enemy eyes. While crossing a road Nu11's flyspy spotted an incoming road master caravan, one hauling a large howitzer, the team noted as much detail as possible about these units and continued on unseen. Not long after Nu11st@ck and Fennec noticed traces of a hostile decker in the region. Nu11st@ck was able to gather some info about their deck and signature while Fennec reached out to some data haven contacts in order to help identify them. Fennec found out that this was none other than Amrey Vet a SK prime operative utilizing a highly advanced deck.
The team believing themselves still concealed by from SK forces continued their circular approach to the SK facility. Once close enough Nu11st@ck's flyspy got to work mapping out the area. The base did not seem to house any real troops, only a light contingent. What the team did find was more confusing however. Inside one of the command buildings, a woman was talking with a man bearing DGSE colors. Nu11st@ck ran a search on the two peoples images and identified the woman as Amrey Vet and Colonel Berger. The team recorded their conversation and mulled over the possibility of dropping a more permanent camera device behind but opted to just leave quickly before their presence was detected.
With the head quarters scouted the team began to move south towards the front in order to map out more heavy weapon emplacements and get a better look at the front lines. The team found the troops on the front to be heavy entrenched. further to the west was another contingent watching for UCAS advances. This unit was in good position to reinforce the N-51 front if needed. The team finished their circle around the regen, noting troop placement along the way and met back up with the N-51 team for extraction.
Aftermath
The N-51 received the intelligence and decided to proceed on mission. Paratroopers will be sent to capture the forward base while their spearhead punches through the western lines.

Thunder: Infiltrating behind enemy lines with two matrix runners and an infiltration specialist. My heart was beating all the time. So many enemies and just the four of us. Had we been spotted, we wouldn't have stood a chance. Luckily, Fennec, Nu11st@ck, and Chameleon are professionals and manage to keep us all under the radar of the enemy while I tried to do as little noise as possible. Not an easy task on my part, but when I made noise, it was luckily when no enemies were near. My heart was pounding of fear from getting spotted. N-51 was happy with the recon and it seems like we made a contribution. Feels good to make an impact.
Chameleon I'm in the SOX now; signed up with N-51 to work with the UCAS team. The meet went smoothly and the flight was okay, got some sleep on the way. We arrived just in time for an operational briefing. Met an old friend from Seattle. Work just seems to go more smoothly with Thunder on the job. Also met two new runners, Nullst@ck and Fennec. Turns out that work also goes more smoothly with Nullst@ck and Fennec on the job. Those two absolutely ruled the airwaves on our recon op. The air drop insertion was a real eye-opener. Literally. I'm sure glad we did paired drops with Etrius's Team...but damn what a rush. Don't need to be a Seer to see sky diving in my future. After we landed it was rainy, muddy, and dreary. Perfect weather for a toxic radiation zone. We made a complete circuit of the Saeder-Krupp/N-51 battle zone including audio/visual surveillance of the S-K field headquarters. Those matrix jockeys were top of the game. Exfiltration went smoothly but still it was a relief to be back. Warmer and dryer. Our info set off quite a discussion among the brass. Eh. Above my paygrade so to speak. Sounds like more action soon though...
Nu11st@ck "Glad I got that leg upgrade... I can't say I like field work all that much but at least I can get a decent run if I need to now. That SK decker had a scary ass deck.. I've cracked hosts harder than her, but not by much. I am not really looking forward to getting into a spike match with her in the future. Sadly I looks like I might be one of N-51's only competent matrix guns in the field up to the task right now. Fennec is an interesting person, didn't get a great feel for their skills, but they have some decent connections and had some respect for mine at least, that's a good step."
