Character Information

Summary

A cheery, perhaps overconfident woman who has a lot ot prove and a looot of people to piss off in the process. Stubbornly defiant on her principles of self improvement, she often goads those who doubt her so she has a chance to prove them wrong personally. That being said, for the most part she prefers being friendly and outgoing for others, not really minding when others take the route of augmentations or similar to improve themselves as logn as they don't try to force it onto her personally. She often goes out of her way to try and find ways to get affirmation from others, whether it be intentional praise for her work or just taking in the spiteful glares when she does something she has absolutely no right to do.

Kris sports black hair with red dyed tips, along with a croptop and midriff-exposing gray and black jacket combo with what looks to be flames emblazened on the two pieces of clothing. her smaller little trailing coat piece is sewn onto the hem of the jacket to showcase more of those flames, and she loves to wear her grey pants and boots when out and about. Though these are usually covered up by the big dark cloak she has on since she needs to hide her father's gunblade. At home her attire is very casual, usuall just the bare minimum she can get away with.

Goals

- Prove that she's limitless (progress as much as possible)

- Find her father

- Maybe figure out what the hell happened to mom

- Make Hellsing acknowledge her as an excellent runner

- Prove to her doubters that they were wrong about her

Background

Arthur “Silver Scoundrel” Zarunath isn’t exactly a legendary name, but to those who knew him he was something else. Whether that was as a thrill seeking samurai, a philandering womanizer, or a surprisingly hardened Knight Errant, he had left his mark on quite a few people. He had an air of confidence about him and a presence unmatched by most other mundane folk such as himself. It also helped that he dressed oddly and had a strange looking custom built monstrosity of a weapon. The point of the matter was that due to a mix of charisma, outlandish behavior, and some rare moments of shocking wisdom, the man had a weighty presence-and his sudden disappearance back in the 2060s was felt by those who knew him. His comrades, enemies, lovers, all of them felt a weight drop off their shoulders. Some were glad. Some were devastated. Others weren’t willing to just accept that and kept looking. Whether it was one of his debt collectors or one of his old friends, there were a handful of people looking for the Silver Scoundrel. Like his son.

Kennedy Zarunath had always looked up to his father. He hadn’t actually met the man himself, born to a mother he doesn’t remember and left in Seattle at his father’s hideout in the Barrens. But what he had was a fascination with the man. His father left behind dozens of tomes, manuals, and strange tools for the little boy to look through and learn from, and from it Kennedy became obsessed with the father he read about. The paragon of determination, charisma, and skill. An idea of being the most ideal self, and imprinting your ideals onto the world. Not letting others interfere. Repeating to himself over and over again that “your best self is the best signature on a world like this”. Hearing little stories from his father’s old friend and fixer who went by Hellsing. No matter how the leftover funds of his father dwindled, or how awful it was living alone in the barrens, or how crappy it felt having to steal to keep afloat, the dream of meeting his father kept him motivated. He wanted more than anything to go out and find the Silver Scoundrel. He wanted to show his father that he had lived by his words, even if it was only through the ink: to go through the adventure of life his way, and no one else’s, and leave that mark on it through sheer grit. Being the person he wanted to be, and not someone else’s vision of it. Part of that, it turns out, involved some self discovery during his teens and realizing Kris sounded better than Kennedy for who she wanted to be. But another massive part of that was following in her father’s footsteps. She wanted to become a shadowrunner too. Maybe following his footsteps would lead to him.

Hellsing and Kris butted heads over this for a while-Kris refused to get ‘ware of any kind and wasn’t Awakened, but still wanted to risk her life on this. She insisted that she wanted to stay as true to herself as possible, training her ass off for a decade and a half to reach the point she was at now, with her dad’s old equipment and what she could borrow (without asking) from Hellsing. Time and again she’d argue her case, and time and again Hellsing refused. They weren’t convinced a ‘wareless person with no magic could survive. And yet, as they watched her continue on, they noticed sparks in her. Moments where she pushed past her barriers without a care in the world. When Kris was 24 years old, Hellsing gave her the a-ok as her new fixer. Time to prove that she was Limitless.
