The A-corporation DeMeKo is aggressively expanding its sphere of influence into the North Sea after a series of explorations uncovered multiple locations rich in magical and natural resources. Unfortunately for the people already there, this newfound corporate interest could spell disaster.
Factions
Deutsche Medien- und Kommunikations AG (DeMeKo)
The German A-corporation, which has long sought AA status, recently acquired fragments of Saeder-Krupp’s research data on the North Sea. Combined with its own research, DeMeKo successfully identified several resource-rich sites. However, industrial-scale exploitation presents major challenges:
- Public Fear & Political Resistance – Many influential Germans, still haunted by the Black Tide disaster, believe the North Sea should be left undisturbed. A large-scale mining operation risks provoking an unknown magical backlash.
- Pirates & Smugglers – The region is highly unstable, with pirate and smuggler groups actively controlling lesser-known ports, hunting grounds, and key supply routes, making large-scale movements on the North Sea extremely dangerous.
- DeMeKo’s Operational Limitations – While DeMeKo is the largest media corporation in the AGS, resource exploitation is beyond its usual scope. Expanding into extraction and logistics requires shadow operations and public manipulation.
Despite these obstacles, DeMeKo is determined to push forward. As the AGS’s biggest media conglomerate, it controls scientific publications, news networks, influencer platforms, and even an extensive adult entertainment industry—a powerful toolset for shaping public opinion and silencing opposition.
NordicEco Operations
The public-facing subsidiary of DeMeKo’s shadow operations in the North Sea. Officially just another Eco-friendly mining corporation.

North Sea Inhabitants
Klabauterbund
The Klabauterbund is generally eco-friendly and, while not as violent as GreenWar, the current media-backed push for North Sea exploitation has put them on high alert. In response, they’ve begun gathering intel through one of their own acting as a Johnson.
Unlike many radical eco-groups, the Klabauterbund operates internationally, using a mix of subversion, sabotage, and strategic alliances rather than outright terrorism.

Likedeeler
The Likedeeler are a major fencing operation based in the Free City of Hamburg, currently locked in open conflict with the Vory. Organized as a decentralized network, they (theoretically) share profits among their members—though in reality, the stronger always take their cut first.
They control the red-light district and are one of the biggest players in human trafficking in the AGS. While their business practices are as dirty as they come, their dominance in smuggling is unmatched. Almost every weapon entering the AGS from across the Atlantic passes through their hands at some point.
Some Likedeeler also hold dual membership in the Klabauterbund, though their reasons are more pragmatic than ideological.

Störtebekers Erben
"Störtebekers Erben" is a powerful pirate crew operating primarily in the Baltic Sea, though their influence extends further. They maintain deep ties to the Klabauterbund, acting as one of their biggest supporters.
While they have no direct stake in the North Sea, they see the corporate land grab there as a preview of their own future struggles. If DeMeKo and its backers succeed, it’s only a matter of time before the same tactics are used against them.
The Erben supply the Klabauterbund with intelligence and equipment, working from the shadows to disrupt corporate expansion efforts in the region.

For the Corporations
- Kidnap a series of people with historic, magical and forgery skills to enhance junk from the north sea
- Bait a ships of the Klabauterbund into a remote location and capture them
- Blackmail a Policlub to support the Effort
- Make sure some Eco Groups fully support the "NordicEco Operations" or don't support anyone anymore.
- Establish a multipurpose plattform in the north sea as staging area by fending of pirates and making some odd alliances
Against the Corporations
- Sabotage the "Echoes of Tomorrow Media Group" studios worldwide.
- Apply pressure on Echoes influencers—through blackmail, force, or by exposing them as frauds.
- Hijack a live broadcast to reveal the true face of corporate operations.
- Do the pirate thing: target and diminish the active fleet of "NordicEco Operations."
- Dive for North Sea artefacts and sell them on the black market.
- Use those artefacts to flush out the major players backing DeMeKo’s operations—and make them pay.
