Goals

Find out why they're wanted by Renraku, who they are, and make some cash.

Background

Alen Marshall was having a really bad day. He woke up in the middle of Nigeria at Lagos, a place with regular cannibal/spirit/gang attacks and practically no government. He was also nursing a broken arm, had a massive gash from either a rock or bullet on their forehead, and finally had the flu. Over the course of the next several hours they got mistaken for dead, dragged in to  a human chop-shop  to have their cyberware scrapped, broke out with a glass shard as a shiv, ran to the docks, got a gang searching for them, and got saved by the ship captain being half deaf since they sailed off despite being told that they'd be killed for it. He hopped off the ship  as it was docking for probably illegal trade  and has been heading northwest ever since. Lucky for them they ended up in the UCAS. In the weeks following he met a Fixer in Tacoma within minutes of arriving after having very loudly advertised he was a decker in public. Said fixer, Maria Gemnaro, took pity on him and forced them into an alley to be yelled at for being stupid. The good news is they got added to a contacts list as a decker and now had someone to get jobs from. He got his deck and other equipment from a big wooden crate being hand delivered to them from an unmarked van well they were squatting in the Redmond Barrens. With no return to sender address and over 250k nuyen of equipment, he still doesn't know exactly where that came from. He ended up selling a spare drone along with a couple guns to afford a car and a rental home. They met their only other real contact, Dec0de, during this time after hacking into a local corp office and nearly being caught. After that he decided to load up on programs which is how they came to be acquainted. With gear, decent skills, and 0 idea what they're doing or what's going on in the world they now take jobs on Shadowhaven to pay their rent.
