Summary

An Ares shipment gets stolen. It turns out to be hauled by a bunch of buggy boys.

The Meet

The J calls for a job in Everett regarding a shipment from Ares that was going to sell Ares Thunderstrucks to the UCAS military. Somewhere along the way, the convoy stopped responding; this convoy consisting of an Ares Roadmaster, really. The team agrees to track it down, since a few of the guns going missing is something the J can sweep under the rug.

The Plan

The plan starts with aerial sweeps from Hextech's helicopter and patrolling the area with her Dodge Rhino. Marion brings his muscle car along for the ride as well. With Matrix Perception and very persistent Trace attempts, they manage to track its location and plan to hit it hard, maybe take one of the people alive.

The Run

The Ares Roadmaster carrying the cargo was bricked by a Data Spike from Hextech, leaving the bandits stranded on the road by the time the team arrives. While they've armed themselves with the gauss rifles, heavy armor and relentless firepower manages to bring them down and secure everything but the Roadmaster itself.

Aftermath

The J is very happy about recovering the gear and offers a bit of extra; the team also took one of the insect hosts alive for interrogation. It perishes during interrogation some time later.

Rewards

  • 30k Nuyen, or twice that in gear (Guns, armour, military vehicles up to 19 except for Ares Thunderstruck) (15 RVP)

Shy

I don't understand people like Gauss Rifle, it's big and unwiedly...But still did sntach one, guess it could be useful later. As for the mission well who would have thought that Ares would have a Bug Problem...Seriously...Again ?!
