Summary
Sylphiette has a friend named Amy, and the two were fast friends as soon as they met. yet, when Amy goes missing, Sylphie gets worried and hires runners to look into her dissapearance. A start discover and a mystery unfolds, leading to a sorrowful goodbye and a promise to perhaps meet again someday.
Background
Sylphiette, who used to work with Amy for a drug processor named Brick, were friends ever since they first got together. Now that Sylph had since moved on to work for S3I, she had been trying to get Amy to work with her at S3I so that the duo could move away from such dangerous work. Yet, it never cliqued with Amy, and so the duo walked separate paths but were always well connected. That is, until Amy mysteriously disappeared one night, causing Sylph to panic.
The Meet
The team meet up with Sylphiette at a local bar. Hopping into a DNI, the team learn about Amy's background and why Sylph is worried. With the cards on the table of Amy's work, and how dangerous it is, Sylph implores the runners to take action. Giving them the location of Amy's house and workplace, Sylph asked them to at least know where Amy is, and would pay more if she could find out that Amy was okay for herself.
The Plan
With the locations of where the house and workplace are, the team decide to hop into Red Ribbon and FL0W's van. The two vehicles set off to head to the workplace first, after doing some basic legwork.
The Run
- Heading to Amy's workplace, they meet Brick. A matrix and memory search from Red Ribbon help's the team realize that Brick responds well to professionalism and violence. Once there, Shredder crooks both a curb and a car, both impressing and distracting the guards. Meanwhile hotdog doubles down on coke and overdoses. After spewing, they say "I frew up". At the same time, Ribbon does some matrix searching and finds details.
- Amelia Beckner - 27 years old. Parent's were corpo born from Telestrian in TNN. Amelia Beckner moved to Seattle after things went south after her dad was shitcanned. Her parents have been looking for her, wanting to bring her back to TNN. She's had augmentation surgery to not look like an elf. She's always being very secretive, but very wild. There's a few pictures of her online, doing dangerous things: Throwing a brick at a KE car, throwing a molotov at some corpos car, a few pics of her in compromising situations, as well as another picture of her partying with someone with white hair and a blured face.
In one of the images, Ribbon mines some data on a face. Enhancing the data on That Woman. It sends shivers up her spine as the data she finds is corrupted and leads to dissonance. It seems like there's more going on with Amy's past that could cause a disturbance. Yet the conversation with Brick goes well, and FL0W learns that Amy made it home from work alright, but was found out for being an elf which spooked her enough to want to go home early. Brick affirms that Amy said she was fine leaving, and that he even made sure she was driven home from work after her shift that day. The team concludes Brick was safe from suspicion.
Heading to the apartment next, the team investigates the area. Shredder starts by again doing a major skateboard set, jumping some stairs, then doing a triple grind BS 180 fakey nose grab goofy switchback lazerhop jitter-switch boneless upset 900. People in the area are impressed and even post videos of it online for the world to see. The runners decide to go upstairs to check the apartment next, with an opening investigation of Red Ribbon using drones to scout the area. Inside the room it seems ransacked, but no valluables are taken. Hotdog sends a spirit inside to check out what's there, and bumps into an Elvar spirit named Regret.
Regret states in uncertain terms that Amy is a drake named Lunastera Ishvalda born from Sirrurg and that she had a beneficial relationship with Regret, that Regret was using his fae trickery to offer her counselling and relaxation, attempting to make her experience peace and tranquility in the harsh reality of the modern world. FL0W nabs a commlink and Ribbon checks the details on the terminal to find out that Amy was potentially kidnapped. Trying to find more info, Ribbon dived the host only to get caught, but the spider asked to speak with Ribbon directly and she obliged.
The team went to meet the spider who happily gave footage on the cams, yet when checking them the Spider started to get weird and tried to attack Ribbon. RPC cloaked friendlies of the spider arrived but were more or less quickly dispatched. Interrogating the Spider, they found a contact for the person who had 'kidnapped' Amy to begin with. As it turns out, Amy was fleeing Seattle as her status as an elf and drake were caught, and she was no longer safe. Her kidnapping was actually an extraction designed to look like a kidnapping, and this is why Sylph was so worried. A call with KLBR, the leader of 9x39 Logistics, allowed Sylphiette a chance to say goodbye to Amy.
Aftermath
Although members of 9X39 logistics were taken out, KLBR appreciated the guts it took to call her in that situation and ask for a favor. Given the situation, she understood the misunderstanding. All in an effort to keep Amy safe, the team was hired to investigate, but KLBR didn't know that until after their talk. Amy and Sylph had a solemn and bittersweet goodbye, but vowed to see each other in another life.

Red Ribbon
Surprisingly tame job with a bunch of weird people to make up for it. Hotdog is better in person than through the 'trix, for sure, though I swear her magic is some of the creepiest drek I've ever seen. Fl0w doesn't seem too interested in teamwork, but I'm glad I caught that monofilament all the same; he might have walked straight into it. And Shredder... actually, no notes on Shredder. Best skateboarder I've seen. I've never seen someone make one so... deadly.

A good enough job with some very strange folks. I'm glad we got actually help that gal find her friend. I was expecting worse things to happen but praying for the best and all that.
