Summary

Aodyn Debeauvais - aka "Cheshire" - was a tribal pixie that got recruited by evo, but got the boot because he cared more about pranks than doing work, despite his high magic potential. Finding himself belonging neither to the corporate world nor the fey world, he's trying to find a new home among the Shadows.

Goals

Background

Chesh was born in the Brocielande forest. He was a child when the Korrigan first made contact with Metahumanity, and was immediately fascinated by stories of how they had changed from the 4th age tales he had heard up until then. When an enterprising Evo Corps agent visited his village and proposed a cultural exchange program, Chesh jumped at the chance, and, despite his elders misgivings, joined Evo Corps to learn magic and metahuman ways at their London campus. Chesh was a quick learner, but his cultural customs were not always appreciated by his fellows. The Korrigan, as fae, are typically childish even as adults, with a love for playing tricks on humans, and Chesh felt no differently. He loved to play jokes on anyone and everyone, especially using his Trid Phantasm and Magical Fingers spells. But one day, he took it too far (or so he thought). In a debacle involving a rogue corpse flower spirit, a bucket of sour milk, and a visiting high level executive - and Cheshire was sent packing. While Chesh believes it was this final prank crossing the line, in reality it was because it was decided that Chesh was entirely incompatible with corporate life - he constantly got bored with the tedium of corporate environment, and his pranks, while not particularly harmful, were incredibly distracting and tiresome to encounter on a daily basis.

When Chesh got home, he found that his experiences had changed him. As much as he wanted to feel back at home in the Brocielande forest, his time abroad had left him ill- suited for a hunter gather lifestyle. And so, shortly after he left, he sought advice with higher ups in the Korrigan outside his village, who directed him to Alessa P in Seattle - another Pixie who didn't fit in with other Pixies - who would help him establish himself in metahumanity without being enslaved to the Corps. And so, Chesh has found himself a newly minted runner, eager to explore his newfound city.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Mentor Spirit: Cat - Chesh has Cat as his mentor spirit, which is where the name Cheshire (as in the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland) comes from.

College Education - He was once a student at an Evo campus in London.

Records on File: Evo - Evo has files on him from his time working with them.

Big Regret: Fired from Evo for Prank - He was fired from Evo for being a prankster. It fills him with shame because his prank, which was supposed to be about teaching humility and be funny, instead revealed that Evo saw him as a mere nuisance and embarrassment.
