Overview

Der Opa (real name unknown) is a powerful German magician and former shadowrunner in the Euro Scene. Unlike most Shadowrunners, Der Opa has worked in the shadows for a long, long time...and has lived to tell the tale. That longevity creates a spooky aura that contrasts with the kindly, doting, old grandfather that you see before him. The old man has secrets...some he may even be willing to share.

Aspects Description

Aspect	Description
Early Riser	Der Opa is up at 5 am each day and in bed by 9 pm each night. Do not try contacting him outside that time frame: he will not pick up your call.
Family Man	Der Opa loves his grandkids, and his husband, and will not drop his family commitments for anything short of the end of the world. Roll a 1d6 when contacting Der Opa: on a 1, he is unavailable for the next 1d6 hours.
A Man of Principle	Der Opa has his principles, as convoluted as they might sometime seem: Loyalty may never be increased above a character's Notoriety score. If a Notoriety score jumps above the Loyalty rating, Der Opa will stop taking their calls until something is done about their wicked reputation.
Forger	Stereotypes be damned: Der Opa likes to tinker. He's masterful at creating forgeries.
You Can Fake Your SINs, But For How Long?	Der Opa isn't the world's most technologically savvy man, but he has well-placed friends who are. He can call upon his contacts to create Fake SINs and Licenses.
(White Picket) Fence	Der Opa can be strange, and sometimes frustratingly slow, but he's got a knack for finding buyers and/or sellers for almost anything.
Old School	Der Opa has been around. He has shadowy contacts in high society all over the world, but especially in Western Europe and especially in the Allied German States.
A Little Birdy Told Me	For a little old man who spends so much time in his little old shop and at his little old house, he sure seems to know about what's happening out in the world. Things he really ought to have no right to know. Whether it's shadowy connections with info brokers, free spirits, or free-spirits-who-are-info-brokers...he seems to have an opinion and a little tidbit on almost everything.
Edelweiss	Der Opa might seem straightforward, but he's a complicated little man. He's done things he's not proud of, things that can never be undone...but he still has the capacity to put good out into the Sixth World. Any request that aligns with hooding missions or general do-goodery will bring extra attention and vigor on his end.
Shadow Connections	The man is old, and has outlived most of his contemporaries. But the man was running even into his late old age and still maintains connections with shadow communities across the globe, especially in Europe.
(Neo Anarchist) Book Club	Der Opa is part of many social justice organizations, some of which are more...expressive and active than others. He has connections in many of the large (and small) freedom fighting organizations that operate in the shadows and the gray areas of legality.
Hermetic Shermetic	Der Opa is a member of the Dr. Faustus Society but is, let us say, a heterodox member. Der Opa will share secret and advanced magical research and theory with anyone who is interested, regardless of gender, capability, or tradition.
Fairy Godmother	Der Opa delights in talismongering for those whose company (and credit) he enjoys. He is a masterful and ancient worker of magic: double the normal Aspect bonus for talismongering. He will not, however, create foci, fetishes, or the like for people he suspects will put them to particularly violent, unjust use. (GM's Discretion)
