When a lieutenant in the San Francisco Ancients ended up in her care after a run-in with the SFPD, Dr. Charlotte Knight stuck to her oaths to preserve life and privacy just as staunchly as she would with any other patient. She didn't expect it to cost her career; turns out, cops don't like it when you tell them to "frag off and die" when they're searching your ER for wanted criminals, and don't give a drek if you're on your second dose of Long Haul for the week.
But sometimes it pays to stick to your principles, even in as unforgiving of a place as the Sixth World. By the time she'd finished sleeping off the Long Haul crash, she'd become a hero to the local Ancients chapter, and the gangers thanked her by offering to set her up as their cyberdoc. They could provide the clinic space, medical equipment, and supply lines on all the 'ware she needed, as long as she could perform the procedures. She agreed, setting up shop under the name Dr. Nightshade, and she's travelled between all the major West Coast chapters since--down to LA, and now up to Seattle.
|Sleep is For the Weak||Dr. Nightshade is used to being the only doctor on call for the gang's local chapter, and has to be available to serve her patients. Long Haul helps with that--except when it doesn't. When contacting Dr. Nightshade, roll a d6. On a 1, Nightshade is sleeping off a Long Haul crash and will respond to your message when she wakes up in 8d6 hours.|
|Awakened & Emerged Specialist||The Ancients' higher-than-average Awakened membership necessitates knowledge of atypical physiology, and Dr. Nightshade's dedication means that she's had to adapt.|
|Global Supply Network||With chapters and connections across the globe, the Ancients don't struggle to acquire what they need. +2 to acquiring cyber or bioware.|
|Criminal Connections||When your 'ware supply comes from one of the world's largest criminal organizations, why would all your stock be legal? +2 to acquiring restricted/forbidden 'ware.|
|Trust Me, I'm (Actually) A Doctor||That expensive framed certificate on her wall isn't just a decoration; it's a quick way of shutting up stubborn gangers who refuse to believe she actually knows her drek. +2 to Active checks on First Aid/Medicine, and +2 to Knowledge checks involving injury, medicine and disease.|
|First One's Free||Drug trafficking is big business for the crew, so Nightshade can get you any kind you want--be it for medical, recreational, or combat use. +2 to acquiring drugs.|
|West Coast Wanderer||Dr. Nightshade has spent time with all the West Coast Ancients chapters, and knows people in all of them. +2 to networking checks with other Ancients contacts located on North America's West Coast.|

|Active Checks||8 + Loyalty + Aspects - Notoriety|
|Gear Acquisition Checks||12 + Loyalty + Aspects - Notoriety|
