Overview

0-MUS (pronounced zero-mus) emerged as a technomancer late in her teens, way back in a past life. She approached her parents for help and support and was thrown out on the street as a result. g01bez (pronounced "golbez" and always stylized without capital letters), her older brother by several years, became outraged and followed her onto the street where he began to learn how to hack, at first with attack dongles, and eventually with a proper deck after meeting the right contacts. He did this in order to protect her on meat and Matrix both.

On the Matrix, g01bez is a notoriously aggressive decker and self-styled black knight. While subtlety is often a first resort and one that he can perform at as well as any decker, his specialty lies in his particularly potent Data Spikes, augmented by Infusions of Attack from 0-MUS and assists from her Attack Sprites when subtlety is no longer a concern (often manifested in the form of dark, coiling dragons). g01bez often frequents hacker hosts and forums and predictably loves to duel other deckers, while 0-MUS remains as invisible and quiet as her ghostly persona, preferring to watch others and learn more about her new abilities in private. Most of them center around supporting g01bez, including Infusions of Attack and Firewall, as well as Diffusions of Attack and Firewall for opfor. Machine Sprites supplement the two of them when using devices on the meat.

Rumors abound of g01bez's preternatural strength, while his sister basically does not exist in shadow circles save for vague remarks referring to her as his "driver." Some speculate that he is a technomancer, accounting for bursts of performance well beyond that his deck should be able to provide, and he neither confirms nor denies them. Others speculate that he and his sister are close in more intimate ways, however these are met with merciless, Hammer augmented Data Spikes laced with Blackout code. Those rumors, predictably, are not accurate and are now not often shared.

Notes for GMs

On the meat, the two are elf siblings, 6'6" to 7'0" in height, with darker skin. g01bez rocks a large white mohawk, while 0-MUS keeps her hair short, straight, and dark.

g01bez has a fairly serious personality and puts emphasis on professionalism in his work. He will do as asked, when asked, for the agreed upon price. Biofeedback need not apply - he's usually disinterested in killing. The exception to this is when it comes to his sister, who he will choose to protect at all costs. He can become frustrated with her, but only ever in the mildly annoyed way good friends and siblings tend to be.

0-MUS tries to be fairly serious, playing up a mysterious personality on the Matrix with her ghostly silhouette of a persona, however at her core is a shy, good hearted dork who uses that to conceal her reluctance at being forced into the shadows. Excite her too much, and her inner fangirl can emerge, however, she typically lingers behind and plays support to g01bez in situations where they are together, shootout and social.

Overprotective	g01bez is very protective of 0-MUS, and as such will not place her in unnecessary danger. If asked to perform a task in an unusually dangerous situation as determined by the GM by a runner with loyalty 3 or lower, it is refused with their apologies. As a baseline, assume the threshold is something that would put the pair in direct contention with an organization of Connection 2 or higher, although other situations may also apply.
Technology Connections	g01bez knows a few people - how else would a street rat starting fresh have ever been able to get his hands on a cyberdeck? This contact receives a bonus to gear checks regarding Matrix hardware.
Technomancer	Although Emerged only two years ago, 0-MUS is rapidly exploring her new abilities. This contact receives a bonus to all checks involving being a Technomancer or knowledge of the Resonance.
Double Trouble	Between the two of them, someone is bound to answer a call, right? This contact receives a bonus to all availability checks.
Sibling Synergy	When working together, the two of them push a terrifying amount of data through the bandwidth they have, making attacks viciously potent. This contact receives a bonus to all legwork checks involving Matrix combat.
