Background
Johnny was a simple rancher in the CAS when he was thrown a cruel twist of fate and his ranch burned down. Without enough money to rebuild from the ground up, he packed what little he had left up on his motorcycle and made his way across the continent to Seattle to start again.
Magical Background
Johnny was living in rural Texas at the time that he awakened, and thus didn't have access to anyone like a mentor from which he could learn how to practice magic. For the basics, he turned to the matrix, which helped him with a simple understanding of concepts like spellcasting, alchemy, assensing and using foci. His further advances in alchemy, spellcasting and the creation of foci are the result of many years of his personal research and experimentation.
