Summary

The team gets a job offer from Reina Taylor in order to clean up the aftermath of an employee termination. The team quickly pins down their target's location and lures their street brawler away in order to execute them . With one target down, Anansi disguises herself as a cutter and leads the team into the party. She convinces the door check to let them in. Fennec breaks off and lures Kain outside using her cool monowire yoyo tricks while Anansi chats up Sojourner. After a bomb-scare from Livewire, the gangers retreat away from the entrance. After a 1-2 combo from Hotdog and Anansi most of the gangers go down, and Fennec executes the shell-shocked gang leader.

Background

In the aftermath of a job to terminate the employment of one Flash Star!'s talents, Killer Kain attempts to blackmail Flash Star! in order to get a second pay day. In response to this, Reina Taylor calls in the team to take out the gangers and bury the company's indiscretions.

The Meet

Alessa P contacts Anansi and Hotdog telling them about a job opportunity to execute some gangers. Bulldog Black dials up Fennec to inform her that he's managed to dig up a potential job for her. Ranni brusquely contacts Nian to offer faer a job. The team arrives to the meet at Basil's Faulty Bar and quickly start negotiating. The J offers 20k for the team to eliminate some gangers who have kidnapped a performer and her manager. When the team pushes for an additional raise, Reina smugly offers an additional 10k if they manage to retrieve the talent alive. The team immediately catches on and determines that its likely that the performer's bio-monitors would have informed the corp about whether they were alive. Reina's smugness and this fact combine to convince the party that neither of the performers are still alive. The team helps Hotdog squeeze the J for another 5k before deciding to accept the job.

The Plan

Fennec performs a quick matrix search and is able to dig up information regarding a party that the 4th street fighters are hosting that night as well as a place that some of them like to hang out at the intersection of 4th and Holiday. Anansi does a quick divination to determine the likelihood of betrayal by the Johnson and receives a cryptic message that seems to indicate that the situation is stable. They also conjure a guidance spirit in order to identify the location of Livewire the decker. They are able to quickly confirm his presence at the party site. Briefly the team discusses their approach and they decide to hop into Hotdog's ice cream truck and start performing some light recon.

The Run

Upon the team's arrival, Fennec hops into a nearby elevator in order to get marks on the Seattle municipal host in order to subvert some nearby cameras and spot the Fury on Fourth. Anansi moves in to take a look and spots a couple of F5 beast spirits. Eventually, the team moves in to cover Hotdog while she goes in to try and draw the Fury away. Hotdog successfully schmoozes her way over to the Fury and manages to persuade him into following her to her van. Fennec, under the veil of an invisibility spell, administers a pen filled with Narcojet. The Fury puts up a brief struggle before succumbing to Nian's cyberspurs. The team moves inside to the party where Fennec makes quick work of drawing away Kain while Anansi plants a grenade on Sojourner. Livewire spots the grenades that Nian is planting and causes a panic. In the ensuing scramble, the grenade on Sojourner goes off as Hotdog drops a comet on them. Hotdog executes Livewire and Fennec finishes off a shell-shocked Kain with her monowire yoyo.
