Mezhua was born an average elf baby, raised in an Azlant Corptown. He had rather high marks with his academic studies, up until his Awakening, which happened on a school trip to an observatory. That night, there was an unexpected meteor storm, which surged into a minor mana storm. Unbeknownst to the kids, a shady and quite experimental ritual was being done underneath the observatory which had the, unintentional, effect of causing the storm. Mezhua'a group happened to be outside the building at that point and was rushed into the building as fast as possible, with Mezhua being trapped outside. Though Mezhua survived the storm... he quickly got sick after it passed, his body beginning to warp and mutate into the form he carries today, as well as Awakening his magical abilities.
Some time passed, with no real compensation from the incident, though Mezhua was "Enrolled" in an Aztechnology academy, life there wasn't too harsh... though it was demanding. He was taught how to control and hone his newfound abilities. Given the conflict heavy nature of the academy, regular tournaments to settle grades and the like, Mezhua was an above average student though by no means anything special.

Background
