Overview

Bayou Bill was many things. Violent. Explosive. Incredibly Stupid. But in terms of being a gator wrangler? He was good. Damn good. Maybe even the best. Gator is living proof of that. After surviving the events of the Kill Bill, Gator awakened. He put on his master's smoking boots and hat, donned his old crucifix and took up his killers rifle. Now he’s a gator on a mission. What that mission exactly is, no one knows, although it is rumored it has something to do with Horizon.

GM Tips

Gator is an alligator. He can’t talk. He can BARELY answer a call. He is a literal alligator.

Aspects Description

Aspect Description
See you later, Alligator Gator is an alligator. While he’s awakened and sapient, it doesn’t instantly mean he has a full understanding of English and societal norms. Getting this contact to DO things may require an animal handling check or a bribing with appropriate snacks. Gator DOES understand limited English from his training with Bill (and understands it BETTER if delivered in a Louisiana drawl) but usage of complex terms and ideas may not go over well. Also, because he is an alligator, he cannot speak.
Learned From The Best Bayou Bill taught Gator everything he knew. Including combat tactics. When Gator is called for job, roll 1d6 in secret. On a roll of 5 or 6, Gator will fight like Bill did. That means violence, explosions and collateral damage galore. You think you brought him on for a distraction and expect it? Oh no, he went even bigger. This violence may or may not be able to be traced back to you, depending on how evil the GM is feeling.
See You, Swamp Cowboy Bayou Bill died fighting Horizon. As such, if you are working a job that brings good things to Horizon, Gator WILL NOT HELP you. If you have called or used a Horizon affiliated contact in the last week, Gator will take a -4 on any checks to assist you. He can smell the suit on you.
“Is that a gator with a sniper rifle?” Gator wields a powerful Barrett rifle with hand-loaded ammunition. He wields it DAMN well thanks to his newly acquired adept powers too, even without opposable thumbs. +2 to any rolls that involve shooting people with a sniper rifle. Or hitting them with it I guess.
“Is it wiring an explosive??” Gator’s master went out doing what he loved best, exploding suits. Gator carries on this legacy, hoarding a great amount of the stuff and knowing how to wire them too. +2 to any checks involving making things go boom.
“Why won’t it die?” Gator isn’t gonna go down easy. Be it bullets or explosives or magic, he’s not gonna go out without a FIGHT. He’s learned from Bill’s death and become much more powerful as a result. Don’t expect Gator to go down fighting gangers, anything short of a missile or a well placed shot from an elephant gun will just tickle. However, he will respond to escalating violence with even MORE violence of his own and more violence means more bodies and more explosions that might be traced back to you. (Yes, even if Learned From The Best didn’t proc)
“Did it bring friends?” Gator can’t exactly talk to normal people, being an alligator and all that. However, he can make 1 kind of networking check, getting more Gators. These gator’s won’t be magic-ed up gator badasses but they’ll do the trick for all your gator needs (probably chomping people lets be honest). +2 to all networking rolls involving rallying gator-based support, which does include gator shifters, gator shamans and other honorary gators (GM discretion).
“Holy Dre-” Gator is really good at killing things and inflicting violence. It might be his nature as a predator, it might be his training from Bayou Bill, it might be the violent explosion that awakened him. It doesn’t really matter. Gator gains a +2 to any checks involving violence.
"It's like there's an army of them!" Gator now has friends! After a daring runner assisted rescue, he has a fighting force no less than 100 gators strong! He is working to provide these gators with basic military training, however progress has been slow. Nevertheless, he is willing to deploy small gator divisions to assist runners but never the full force (with the exception of thematics approved story beats). Runners should be expected to pay extra, either in LARGE quantities of meat or additional favors, if they wish for Gator to bring his forces to muster.
"They're in the lake! Get away from the shore!" Thanks to Brodie J's brilliant idea of a gator paradise beneath Seattle coming to fruition, Gator and his allies have access to all major bodies of water in and near Seattle through the use of 'Gator Tubes'. Runners can use these tubes if they wish (and provide sufficient payment) but will have to provide their own aquatic equipment in order to make the wet journey. This tube trip should not be easy or handwaved, there should be swimming fatigue tests made at the very minimum, if not gator encounters mid-route. Gator, of course, will not be pleased if he finds out you've killed his gator friends but a little rough-housing and wrassling is excusable. The gators, of course, are forgiven if they eat the runners. Sorry!
