Summary

Mikhail Antonov hires runners to eliminate Konstantin Peskov, who is arriving in Seattle. The runners meticulously plan an ambush, attacking the car transporting Konstantin and engaging in a shootout. They successfully kill Konstantin, mislead the opposition, and escape without any trace leading back to Mikhail, ultimately collecting their payment for a job well done.

Background

Konstantin Peskov, a White Vory, is coming to Thun Field.
Mikhail Antonov, a red Vory wants him dead and hires a group of runners to do the wet-work.

The Meet

Mikhail Antonov invites the runners Anansi, Ducky, No Caller ID, and Gulliver to Runner Bar 16 to propose wetwork. Bar 16 is famous for its LARP community which Larps being Shadowrunners. So, our runners go with the flow and dress up like 'Runners'.

Mikhail explains the job: The target, Konstantin Peskow, is coming to Seattle for 48 hours. Mikhail wants the runners to kill Konstantin during this time-window. No trace is allowed to lead back to Mikhail and the Red Vory. He offers the runners 20k Nuyen which the runners negotate up to 22 200 Nuyen per person, of which 5 000 are paid up-front. After egreeing, Mikhail leaves and the runners start planning.

The Plan

After thoughtful delibaration, the runners decide to attack on Boris Sokolov's car, in which Konstantin Peskov is going to be transported from Thun Field to to Seattle. Planned point of engagement: just before the highway ramp from the 31st Avenue onto State Route 512. Only two runners are skilled with firearms, so they are tasked to disable Boris' car, after wich all runners will engage in open combat.

After completion of the job, drive to the next entry to the Ork Underground and 'disappear'. If necessary, highjack a car to make the escape.

The Run

The runners make a few purchases, including AV Rounds and renting a car under a fake burnerSIN. The burnerSIN was ordered by No Caller ID from Liudmila.

While still in the disguise they wore at the LARP event at RunnerBar 16, the runners realize that they are being divined. Since No Caller ID is disguised as Riga Toni at the time, they decide to mislead the White Vory to think that Riga Toni is behind the assasination / assasination attempt.

The runners hire a spotter who surveys the Airfield and gives information about the landing of the target, detailed description of the oppsing team, and the vehicles they use, so that the runners will be prepared and ambush the right convoy: 3 cars. The target is in the middle car (Nissan Jackrabit), while a team of MCT security is driving in front and White Vory grunts are in the rear car.

Ananasi buffs the team with lifesaving combat sense before the fight and hides in location overviewing the site of engagement. As the time is right, Gulliver pulls up next to the Jackrabit. With their windows open Ducky and Gulliver attack the Jackrabit and cause it to fail. All cars end up stopping and a shoot-out begins. Led fills the air. Most of the led is flying towards the opposing forces while the few bullets getting through to ShadowHaven's runners are deflected by Pasiphae who does a best friends forever job of soaktanking and saving at least Gulliver's life.

As it is clear that Team ShadowHaven has the upper hand, Team MCT and the White Vory Seer signal that they give up. No Caller ID makes a bold move and opens the Jackrabit transporting the assasination target and confirms Konstantin Peskov's death by a skillful monofiliament whiplash to the P-Zone.

Under limited opposing fire, the ShadowHaven team retreats to their car and escape to the next Orc Underground entrance and disappear.

After dust has settled, they meet with their Johnson, Mikhail Antonov, to collect their payment. Mikhail is very satisfied and commends the runners on a job well done.

Aftermath

The Red vory wins a battle. The war is ongoing. Will it ever end?
