Summary
The Vory V Zakone (вор в зако́не, "vor-ve zakonye", roughly: criminals who follow a code/a thief who is the law) is an alliance of Georgian, Armenian, Chechen, Belorussian, Ukrainian, Azeri, and Jewish Mafias. Globally, this multidude of individual organizations can be split in the Red Vory and White Vory. The Red are more aligned with Russia and its government while the White have more presence in Western Europe. Each group sees the other as inauthentic traitors. Notably, the Red Vory have kicked the White Vory out of Seattle.
The Vory are notoriously brutal and ruthless. Insulting them generally results in getting maimed. Betrayal is far worse.
