Overview

Nathan Wallace had the perfect life. He was a researcher for bioware and geneware for Evo. He married the woman of his dreams. They had a daughter. He had finally obtained everything that he had been working towards his entire life - including the enchanted scalpel that marked him as one of the few that could develop and install deltaware grade bioware. But he made a grave mistake - he caught the attention of a man trying to keep himself relevant.

Eric Fiengold is a man that refuses to go away.  Past his prime, his enemies within Evo made a move to get him out of the way without completely getting rid of him (he knew where far too many of the bodies were buried).  And so, the illustrious Fiengold finds him put out to pasture by Evo as he is pushed into the position as the VP of Finance for Red Star Clinics. Fiengold begins to take an active interest in his division and puts out the original directives to offer payment plans for organ transplants for those that could not afford it.  It is through his efforts also that implant repossession catches on - it doesn’t take the megacorps long to seize this idea and push it through as it is in all their best interests.  Fiengold also overhauls the Red Star Clinic personnel, creating accidents and twisting circumstances to disgrace some of the most brilliant minds in ‘ware research and genetic augmentations.  Fiengold then offers to help these poor unfortunate souls in return for them working for Red Star and moonlighting as off the books repossession men.

Wallace was no exception.

Ten years ago, Wallace was accused of conducting geneware experiments on his wife and daughter. These experiments lea to his wife's death and rendered his only child, Hope, comatose. Fiengold leveraged this against Wallace, keeping Wallace from being prosecuted for his crimes and paying for Hope's care. In return, Wallace was placed in the employ of Red Star Clinics as a surgeon and forced to moonlight as an implant repossession man. Fiengold pushed Wallace too far when he demanded the surgeon carry out a repossession against Charity Horace, his wife's best friend. Knowing he'd lost control over Wallace, Fiengold hires shadowrunners to deal with Wallace.

The runners decide to help Wallace fake his death and get out of town, hoping he'll make amends for his crimes and help take down Red Star Clinic in the future.

Aspect	Description
In Hiding	Wallace faked his death with the help of runners and relocated to San Francisco. He knows how much it would cost everyone if he was ever found out by EVO. As such, he will not leave the area he feels safe in for anyone less than loyalty 5. If you want his services, you have to come to him or be satisfied with a phone call.
Skilled Surgeon	His time at Evo and working for Red Star Clinics was not in vain - he is an excellent surgeon and capable of standard and alphaware implants and geneware with little to no fuss (as long as you're willing to come to him).
Organ Repossession	As a former member of Red Star's Repossession force, Wallace has a very good understanding of how implant repossessions are done and can provide a lot of information on the topic.
Cultured Bioware Expert	Wallace was quite the expert at tailoring cultured bioware to the needs of his clients. He can give you great advice on where to get it and what to look for but cannot make it for you himself.
Red Star Clinics	Wallace was well aware of the very dark things Red Star Clinics is doing, especially about their clinic in the Barrens. Don't hesitate to call.
Making Amends	Wallace is not taking his second chance for granted. He has created a small neighborhood clinic in San Francisco that treats those in need. Donations in excess of 1000 nuyen to the clinic are more likely to get you on his good side.
Geneware Manipulator	Wallace has been creating geneware for Evo for years. He's adept at helping you with your preferred treatments.
