Overview
Everest Pike is a charming, well-dressed man with a knack for slipping out of bad situations with his silver tongue, and maybe a favor or two from people he knows. Over time, he's built this reputation into a reasonably good career as a fixer or Johnson for hire. On occasion, he'll even take the field himself, in the role of a negotiator or infiltrator. He originally attempted to ply his trade in the corporate world, but quickly found it too... stifling... for his tastes, and backed into the shadows when he had an opportunity. This did not come without cost, and he still has some small debts to pay incurred by related costs - things like surgery in line with an identity change, and so forth.
As a freelance Johnson, Pike is sought out when his clients don't want to be tied to the jobs they're putting on. Most recently, this has been leveraged by Windfall to obfuscate ties back to Red Ledger. Pike has a reputation maintain, and thus he is extremely resistant to reveal who he's being hired by, consistently calling them his 'employers' and nothing more - but having been the field himself, he also appreciates that Shadowrunners don't like getting screwed over, and thus is looser with information around severe threats on runs or is easier to negotiate up than other Js might be. Greasing his palms always helps with this.
When working, Pike is very rarely without a small private security team that he pays a percentage of what he earns on each of his jobs. They are usually about half with him, and half integrated into the people and environment around him.
