Summary
Shamus is short for an elf, though his size lends itself to covering a wide spectrum of sizes for his profession. He is in below-average shape, though his preferred line of work isnt as physically intensive as the trids potray it. His curly brown hair is kept the way he likes it, as his powers often reduce the need for haircuts or any special care. His soft brown eyes have an attentiveneness to them, as though he's always paying close attention to everything around him. His beard, though scruffy, wraps nicely around his lower face. His skin seems full of color, though due to his powers its easy to keep a healthy glow. He often seems tired, though he is good at hiding this when necessary.
"Highlander" is a mellow guy, and as you might expect of a spy, does much more listening than talking despite his specialty. His emotions, be they happy, angry, sad, or scared, could be decribed as subtle and muted compared with your average person. He is sensitve to noise and prefers quiet, softer sounds. He often carries around old books, the old-fashioned paper kind, which he collects and will sometimes show off to someone who seems interested. Though it may be a product of his constant difficulty sleeping, he often appears contemplative or deep in thought. Maybe it's part of the facade, as you'd never expect such a regular seeming joe to be an agent for the man; and that's the point.

Background
Shamus taggart was born on January 3rd, 2013 in Belfast, the only child of two poor catholic parents. His mother was a policewoman, and was killed in a magically enhanced bombing soon after returning to her duties. His father was a humble shopkeeper, emotionally and mentally absent after the sudden death of his wife. Turbulent times and a mentally unwell father brought shamus to desperate times, and in 2037 he was caught trying to rob a bank by using his adept powers to impersonate the manager. However, the newly formed Tir Na Nog government took an interest in his fledgling skillset and took him him; He trained with them for some time, and began his work in espionage, Working primarily as an infiltrator in english-speaking areas of the world, his human father passed away weeks before the Catholic Church was banned from the country, likely having attended one of the last catholic masses in ireland. Much of Shamus' work was either minor or classified, though he may have played some role in intelligence efforts in the late armistice period of the 2nd eurowar. Though there were success and failures throughout his career, shamus narrowly escaped death when a turncoat agent exposed a long-term operation within ARES Macrotechnologies. Most of the team was killed, several more captured, and only a few escaped. After a through debreifing, Shamus was reassigned to seattle with a newly formed team of veteran agents on a low-profile indefinite mission to colelct information on everything happening in the area. With no remaining family and a long life ahead, he finds himself often wondering what his purpose is and what direction he should go. For now, moving up in the organization and reading science fiction books is good enough for him.
