Background
Amaia Soldado goblinized at 8 years old. Her parents didn't want to deal with something like that and left her out on the streets to rot. After some time drifting, she found her way, like many lost souls in Aztlan do, to the Pit Fights. A specific one. Turns out being poor and orkish on the street makes one something of a commodity on the streets. The specific crime was listed as "Disruption of the Populace" but a handful of other charges were piled on. The debt for her terrible crimes was acquired by one Casa del Destripador Colmillos. Home of the Tusk Rippers. A slightly below-board fighting pit for pitting petty SINless criminals agaisnt one another for entertainment. Like many others. With one small exception. Its combatants were exclusively orks and trolls.
Amaia spent the next ... decade perhaps in the fighting ring. It was an unkind life. There was a strange sense of community that was created. Friendships forged among the orks and trolls, knowing they might beat the shit out of each other the next day. The fighting ring was run for profit and loss of popular fighters meant a ding to revenue but the spectators wanted blood. Sometimes people would die.
Amaia killed her first friend at the age of 16. An oni named Dloravi. Spur blade through the skull. Died instantly. She's kept a piece of tusk as a macabre reminder. She has other trophies, pieces of weapon and armor and ware from old battles but that one is different.
As the years of fighting and hurting and getting hurt passed, Amaia would get the ever living fuck kicked out of her. Bones broken, damage to the spine and nerves. And finally, having her entire right arm ripped off. As each battle passed, she would be brought, barely concious and bloodied, under the knife of a smiling doctor who went by Dr. Moreau. She still sees that smiling face in her nightmares.
She'll never forget her last match. It was the usual chrome meeting flesh. Sparks and Blood. But she saw something different. For a second, all of the pieces of cyberware could speak to her. They had their own forms and names and voices. It was beautiful. She felt a string tying herself to something larger and she reached out and tugged.
A few days later, the ring was shut down. Mothers of Metahumans got wind and finally took it down after a year long legal battle and Amaia was free. She even got a fancy new legal SIN out of it. But still, she didn't want anything to do with Tenochtitlan after what she'd been through so using her newfound brain-commlink, she tracked down Sarah Snow and gave her a ring. The woman was touched by the whole affair and gave her a couple options. She could help Amaia get set up for legal, above board bodyguard work ... or she could vet her and see if she was a good candidate for the shadows. Amaia chose the latter option.
Narrative Significant Qualities
Positive
Long Time Cyber Patient (Biocomp - cyber, Restricted Gear - Alphware Move-By-Wire): Get enough pieces of metal jammed into you over the years and eventually it messes you up a little less.
Quick not Dead (Shoot First, Perfect Time): When the chips are down, time seems to slow to a crawl. Maybe its the wires. Maybe it's something else.
Negative
Allergy - Vinegar: Corrosives and metal bones don't get along. There's treatments to prevent it but she never bothered.
Impassive + Lack of Focus: Sit still too long and her mind moves back to the warmth of the lights and the screeching of metal
SINner - Aztlan: She was given a legal SIN as a sort of reperation when the fightign ring was shut down. Lot of good it does her.
Vendetta - Dr. Moreau: She has precious little info on the smiling cyberdoc but she does know she would like to find him and hurt him a great deal.

Appearance
Clothing
Armor underneath a thick, tattered black poncho. Those fleeting moments she's not in armor, she's probably wearing sportswear.
Matrix Persona
An un-augmented orkish woman. Her outfit is perpetually changing but it's generally something bright and cheery. There's an aura of warmth around her, the feeling of sun on your skin and wind through your hair. The smell of grass and flowers.
Her sprites, on the other hand, take the form of twisting creatures made of recycled electronics. Scittering beasts with glitching cyber-eyes and contorted digits. They aren't pleasant to look at.
