Summary

Red Flower is a former member of the Aztechnology intelligence service. She works in the field of counterintelligence. However, realizing that she will not climb the career ladder as a female Oni at Aztechnology despite her excellent performance, she has negotiated a deal with Aztechnology that allows her to work as a consultant for Aztechnology as well as a private investigator in Seattle. Naturally, she earns a small sideline in the shadows. She dreams of one day being among the rich and famous, or at least enjoying enough recognition in their circles to be a welcome or feared guest at their parties.

Background

Rachel was born into the corporation and raised by the corporation. She is a trained interrogator, trained to watch every detail and protect Aztechnology. If the world had been fair, she would have been born a human male. Instead, she was a female Oni in a megacorporation that had no love for either. She threw herself into her work to prove her worth, which earned her recognition but never a promotion. A break with her family's corporation was out of the question, but she needs something to move on to in order to fulfill herself. So she negotiated a deal that gave her more freedom to investigate for the rich and famous and solve their problems. Maybe, maybe one day she will be able to rise and be an equal among them. Until then, she will use almost any means to reach her goal. Only children are on her taboo list, almost as if something of the mother's love has been preserved that she herself was never allowed to experience.
