Summary

What happens when you blend a bit of cockiness with some old fashioned traditional Nordic charm. Vikar is what you get, an aspected magician somewhat of a dubious nature, that relies upon his mixture of both combat magic and summoning of spirits, when the job requires a bit more force than he's unable to supply himself

Background

Dustin was born in Alabama to a family of poor elven parents, he was a troubled youth, always getting into trouble and that smart mouth of his always seemed to lead to the worst results. Be it from simple vandalism to minor theft, it's like criminality was a common part of his upbringing and the only light shining in his corner he had was his brother and the two close bond they have, help him with much of becoming a better person, but a event in the future will take that away from him.

Awakening as a mage wasn't a simple near-death experience but rather was one prolonged exposure to it .at first it was just faint whispers and the very strange dreams of distant realms, these would puzzle him for a moment and sometimes it would scared him for what he has seen on the other side of these visions. One day he will wake up at the crack of dawn rubbing his eyes before standing up , yet A strangeness began to overwhelm him as he had the sudden urge to turn around before witnessing the horror, for that he seen that he was still in bed, like he was outside of his own body. Having no prior knowledge of magic beforehand, with fear building up in his heart he was just some teenager at this time. He couldn’t understand what happened to him and he never got a chance to say goodbye to anyone he loved, such a cruel fate of the sixth world before he felt a hand placed upon his shoulder, when he turned around to see a bearded man smiling at him. “Greetings Dustin, I am the Dragonslayer and I have been wanting to talk with you young man, it seems that you need a hero.” This was a saving grace for him to be able to returned back to his body, he just had to agree to the dragonslayer to becoming his mentor spirit to allow him to learn more about the way of magic.

Life was never simple and he would eventually go to a life of crime, like so many others it's a quick way to earn money, and he talked his brother into joining this type of work. But this maybe was a falsehood and something he will regret in time .for this one act lead to the death of his brother and his entire team as they took up a contract from a Johnson that they never met and with motives hidden behind the veil. At first, it was a simple smashed an grab but it turned out it was a setup. Everything turned out for the worse the people were said to be unarmed instead they were like a paramilitary and it just became one disaster after another, his brother dying from biofeedback and Dustin being knocked unconscious. When he finally came too, he was inside of a jail cell and thinking to himself how did this came to pass.

it has been years since that ordeal and now he has more important matters to worry about now being a father, he has to support a kid and still need to make money from working in the shadows. Due to his past work and using a bit of favors he would join the shadow haven maybe this place can help him acquire more work and eventually figure out the loose ends that led to the death of his brother and why they were asked to take that one mission that ruined his life.
