This was an interesting run. It went smooth, but I have a lot of questions about our employers. Johnson's are always a little paranoid but this seems extreme. I got a shitload of ammo out of it though, and a cool artic forces suit (how I wish I had this in the Aleutian Islands!) I can wear instead of FBA, though it'll need some upgrading. I thought I recognized thermal signatures like what I saw but... I just can't put my finger on it. It feels like its so obvious, but I'm just not putting it together. In any case, a jobs a job!

Summary

The team took a job from a shadowy and mysterious J who met them in redmond. They did some recon, broke in, promptly alerted their foes, and killed everyone. After recovering the cache they got paid, and it turned out they were fighting vampire hunters, and their employers seemed a little weird on thermals...

Background

As the offensive against the infected of Seattle has intensified, groups from outside of the area have begun to take note, moving in to change the situation according to their ends. One infected group in particular, saw the opportunity to harm the hunters of the area, and secure arms for to distribute to the people. Fighting hunters themselves though would be risky, given their readiness against infected threats, so contractors would be needed.

The Meet

The team assembled on time at the meet location. It was in redmond, on the second story of a run down building (normal, by redmond standards). The J conducted the meeting through an AR projector, similar to a holographic call. Details were given, and a few more after the J was pressed. Details were given, and some confusion about delivering severed heads came up, but the runners finished the meet with any real incident.

The Plan

The team would do physical recon on the location, and then move to strike while they had the element of surprise. None of them had the ability to perceive magic, and so magical things would be largely ignored.

The Run

Recon began with an initial survey of the building. Bannerette then had to sneak up and open a maglock door, which she accomplished with relative ease. Fly spies were sent in, but were blocked by another locked door, and wary of sigils on the floor behind the door, Bannerette opted to climb to the roof and cut open a new entryway for the fly spies there in the ventilation shaft. After interior scouting and confirming some locations, Bannerette decided to enter the building despite the potential issues with the sigils. The sigils did nothing as far as she could tell but she walked straight into an offensive mana barrier and was nearly knocked unconscious by the force. At this point, the fighting began. The team assaulted the compound, took control of the weapons cash, and killed everyone inside to the last man. They documented the evidence of this as the finished off those enemies who weren't outright killed in the fight. The runners themselves sustained very little injury.

Aftermath

The mysterious employers of the team collected the weapons delivered, and the team took some of the weapons themselves as part of the reward. Bannerette had a massive headache. Some damaged vehicles and drones.

Bannerette

This was an interesting run. It went smooth, but I have a lot of questions about our employers. Johnson's are always a little paranoid but this seems extreme. I got a shitload of ammo out of it though, and a cool artic forces suit (how I wish I had this in the Aleutian Islands!) I can wear instead of FBA, though it'll need some upgrading. I thought I recognized thermal signatures like what I saw but... I just can't put my finger on it. It feels like its so obvious, but I'm just not putting it together. In any case, a jobs a job!

Grasshopper

I'm almost certain I was hired by a vampire. I'd tell rick not to let it out I was involved with this job but I'm reasonably sure mentioning it to him would be more likely to make something leak. Pay was good though I might need to donate to the local hunters association sometime.
