Background
Dragon is a more recent addition to the Seattle metropolis, having been born as the son of a Korean immigrant and a native to Oakland, Calfree, where he lived most of his life. He was trained from a young age on the hard reality of living in the Saito-era Bay Area by both his parents. He was taught how to cook, how to blend into the background, how to avoid the attention of murderers and thieves. Life wasn't all that bad. A little rough at times, but the family got by with a little place on Telegraph that traded potstickers and jjajjang during the day and guns and drugs during the night. Everyone was happy, life was good. At least until they were both killed on a botched "sting" by some people with an admiration for the Japanese language and a fascination for the establishment's less-than-scrupulous cargo. Respects were paid, condolences were given, and he was left without answers or resolution, just a couple of dead bodies and a shot up restaurant. Given nothing but a good look at his enemies, he went on the hunt. Seeking out his parents killers with rage in heart and gun in hand, the young man turned to the neighborhood, to the others angry with the Japanese and their enterprise of violence and racism. There he learned how to shoot, how to pick a lock, how to case a building. By the end of it all, he became a thief, a killer, a shadowrunner, Dragon. He was at the top of his game, an up-and-coming. Any economist, or any criminal, would say that it would be the perfect time to go in even further, dig your roots down and make a name for yourself in a local syndicate. He didn't. He disappeared. Nobody really knows why. Maybe it was bad memories, maybe he was sick of California cuisine, or maybe he liked Seattle's atmosphere. In any case, that's just where he reappeared a little under a year later. Currently he works as a freelance spook in the Emerald City, handling Red-Deer's wetwork and running in the shadows.
Narrative Significant Qualities
- SURGEd- People always said my ma was a little weird. Didn't really think much of it until the comet passed. Now I'm some kind of freaky snake-person.
- Sharpshooter/Strive For Perfection- Patience is key. You don't miss your shot, you don't have to take a second one.
- Code of Honor: Assassin's Creed- I'm done killing for fun. Just a job now.
- Day Job(Deliveryman)- Point A, point B. Real easy. I get whatever they need wherever it needs to go. Right now it's pizzas, but I like to mix it up every once in a while.
- Faceless- Maybe I'm paranoid, but I think the slit-eyes and scales freak a lot of people out. Best keep it all under wraps.
- Vendetta(Yakuza)- They killed my family, killed some of my friends too.

Matrix Search Table

1 Hit | You can easily find that whoever this is, he seems to wear more than one face and a lot of surveillance footage involving him seems to blur any defining features out. He isn't a ghost per se, but the lack of concrete information is just as noticeable as its presence. |
3 Hits | Uses of the runner handle 'Dragon' in Seattle seem to only really date back a few months, correlating with the increase in conflicting sources of weirdly blurred footage by security cams. Any personal data seems to be scrubbed, but the obvious conclusions are that he either started shadowrunning or shadowrunning in Seattle around 3 months ago. |
5+ Hits | If one examines the various ballistics reports and forensic data released "publicly", it isn't hard to see that Dragon's preferred caliber was responsible for a variety of violent activities against Japanese or Japanese associated individuals in the Bay Area starting around 10 years ago and ending a little over a year ago. This correlates with a recent increase in shootings using that caliber in Seattle beginning around 3 months ago.
Collated data reveals that ballistics reports almost always indicate use of armor-piercing ammunition at long ranges during initial encounters and heavy slugs in close-quarters. Any visual evidence or recordings of these events seem scrambled and display a man in a coldsuit, if they display him at all. Based on frequency of attacks and target preference, Dragon most likely lives in Southern Seattle, with the highest likelihood of residence in Auburn. Target preference seems to mainly be directed towards regional Yakuza operatives possibly suggesting association with the one of the Seoulpa Rings. |
Shadow Community Table
Threshold | |
---|---|
1 Hit | Dragon seems like a more recent addition to the Seattle shadows. Nobody's really heard of him being around a year ago. |
3 Hits | Dragon is a runner working with the Komun'go Ring, as well as taking freelance jobs linked to the ShadowHaven host. He has a preference for precise shots using large-caliber weaponry and is a dab hand at sneaking and B&E activity. He seems to enjoy conversation, but he dislikes showing people his face. |
5+ Hits | Dragon is a runner originally from New York who arrived in Seattle about 3 months ago. He got chummy with the Komun'go Ring quicker than normal and works for one of the sub-lieutenants on wetwork and B&E jobs. Besides his Ring connections, he works freelance as a runner and was recently introduced to the ShadowHaven host. He isn't the most forthcoming of people and tends to dislike interrogations about his identity and history, but if you win his loyalty he will stick with you through thick and thin. For whatever reason, he hates the Yaks with a passion and is a quick volunteer on any mission against them. |

Appearance
Slit-eyes and scales adorn an athletic male of mixed-race descent who stands at 6'1" and always seems to be wearing some kind of full-body covering. Under his clothes, Dragon's average appearance starts to fall apart, as upon closer inspection it would soon become obvious to any observer that they are looking at something brimming with all kinds of ware.
Clothing
Most of the time, Dragon can be seen wearing a specially insulated biker suit and helmet, but on mission he typically dons a reinforced armored coldsuit. He prefers to dress in greys and muted colors to keep from attracting too much attention when he is visible.
Matrix Persona
Dragon's persona is an average but stately businessman dressed in a business suit and seemingly always carrying a black briefcase.
