Overview

Xyvis is a bat shifter currently living in a colony in Snohomish. A young shifter, she only recently learned how to assume a metahuman form, as loggers encroached on her family's home. Determined to stop them, she studied those around her, learning what she could about how metahumans lived, why they were doing this. While still missing much, she managed to contact a team of runners to scare away the loggers, saving her family. Now, safe and secure, she's eager to help more, to learn and understand about the world around her.

GM Notes

• Xyvis is innocent, naive, but at the same time very eager and quite smart. She's fascinated by the world around her, and will very likely work for free, so long as there's something interesting happening. Something new.

• Xyvis isn't particularly well adapted to metahumans and their customs. She's learning, but, sometimes she completely misses things, or doesn't understand *why* something is.

• Xyvis loves making friends! She thinks. Metahumans are scary, but the runners that has talked to seem nice! So far at least. While she avoids most people's detection, she's quite open and excited to runners.

• At this point, Xyvis can't read, and most of her knowledge comes from spying on people around the Snohomish area. This will defintely change over time. GM's feel free to add to the list of stuff Xyvis has learned about.

• Xyvis stole a suit before her first meet, because she saw a J wear that on a trid show being displayed. It only sorta fits, and she doesn't really get the point of it.

Aspects Description

Hard to Call	Xyvis is still new to commlinks. And to having a metahuman form. And to carrying things. When called, make a Loyalty + Edge (2) Test. Failure means she isn't around her commlink, and might not be for hours to come (GM Discretion). Alternate methods of contacting her, such as through spirit communication or by physically searching for her, can bypass this.
Bat Shifter	Xyvis's ability to travel as a bat lets her stealthily spy on things. +2 to Active checks for stealth or for monitoring targets.
Very Good Listener	There's so much you can find out by politely waiting! And hiding! +2 to perception based Tests (Hearing and Ultrasound). +2 to Knowledge Tests about things she could have conceivably heard of. (GM's discretion.)
Moonlit Mage	Xyvis is a magician, and while new, is quite good at using her powers to hide herself. She's quite talented at blending with the night. +2 to Active Tests made at night. Additionally, Xyvis will use magical spells to improve her capabilities during active tests.
Learning Time!	If Xyvis conceivably thinks she might be see or learn something new on a run, she gets +2 to all Tests made.
