Summary
Jenny Glitz (alias "glitzkrieg") is a decker who lives in the San Francisco Metropolitan Complex. She is noted for her combination of matrix protocol subversion and social engineering.
Goals
- Fight corporations, bigots, governments, and any other oppressors.
- Help the local metahuman community.
- Get a better cyberdeck.
Background
Jenny Glitz was the child of wageslaves, growing up in the margins of the JIS-occupied San Francisco sprawl until the Imperial Marines marched on CalFree. Her family tried to keep a low profile during the war. As humans who were not actively participating in the genocide of metahumans, they were largely left alone by the Protectorate and the resistance factions. When Jenny reached adulthood a few years after the war ended, she came to understand the atrocities that had been committed around her in greater detail, and she was overcome with a crushing guilt that she hadn't contributed to the resistance somehow despite being a child at the time. She tried to channel her trauma into something productive, to help the remaining resistance factions that were still taking anti-corporate and anti-racist action, but she was inexperienced, and the metahuman community had an understandable mistrust of humans, so trust has not been built easily. Since then, she's developed into a black hat hacker who scams and blackmails her way to valuable corporate data and money.
Narrative Significant Qualities
- Matrix Troll: Hacking is one of the few things that gives Jenny a sense of control in the world, and she loves fucking with the people she hacks.
