Summary

An orphan with a grudge against Wuxing, great aim, and skill at infiltrating.

Goals

• Find the runners who were hired by Wuxing to kill her father.
• Fuck up Wuxing.
• Enjoy her life in the shadows, regardless of what happens.

Background

Pollux actually had a pretty decent life growing up, being the daughter of a well-placed sarariman couple in Wuxing, not to mention her twin sister who she got along wonderfully with. Her personal life was a little less scrupulous, with her falling into various groups of unsavoury individuals. However, now being a Shadowrunner, it clearly didn't last. Her mother and father being privy to company secrets led to them being poached by Saeder-Krupp, but before the family could be spirited away, Wuxing caught wind of their defection. They decided to cut their losses, and hired a group of Shadowrunners to eliminate Pollux's parents.

It was only through the luck of being out on a bender with a couple of friends that Pollux lived. The Shadowrunners did their job with only a short scuffle against SK's extraction team, though there was an extra casualty: Pollux's sister. Rather than going in and executing them, they'd decided to make the death look like an accident by burning it to the ground and preventing any escape. It was only thanks to this that Pollux actually lived. At the time, she was crashing at a friend's house after a bender, and thanks to the indirect method of murder, they didn't know how many they'd killed, just that it was all of them in the house.

Fearing for her own life, Pollux fled from Seattle with the small amount of money she did have, and began her descent into the shadows. Years later, she has returned, now seeking to put the skills and gear she's picked up into proper use.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

Bilingual - Being born to a Chinese and American couple, Pollux can speak both Mandarin and English.

Negative

Code of Honour (Assassin's Creed) - The death of Pollux's sister is what inspired her to pick up this code. She wasn't even a target, just collateral, but her death left her alone. She refuses to kill anybody she's not being paid to.

Vendetta (Wuxing) - Naturally, Pollux fucking hates Wuxing. She's constantly looking for ways to screw them over.

Appearance

Standing at 5'5", with blue eyes and black hair that goes just past her shoulders. Identifiable by the star tattoos along her left cheekbone and collar, which wrap around her right hip and stop at her tailbone, as well as her multiple piercings, which include those pictured, as well as a bellybutton piercing. She moves in a graceful, confident way.

Clothing

Pollux has a taste for streetwear, with a preference for synthleather jackets and ripped jeans. A typical tough-girl look, really. Usually wears a black armour jacket, and beneath that, a chameleon suit. Always carries a sling backpack.

Cyberware

While not visible, Pollux does have a rating-2 Wired Reflexes system install. She also has a Deltaware arm on her right side, which is covered in sleek, black plating.

Pollux's matrix persona was made for her by a friend. It appears as a woman made of fire, as if she were a star.
