  • Make it out the hood as a musician and/or comedian.

Background

Early Years

Franklin Weller was born into poverty in the Redmond Barrens, the son of a smacked out prostitute. Little Franklin had to fend for himself, and many were the nights that he went hungry. Often, the only food which filled his belly was the scraps that he could pilfer on the streets. So, the life of a thief came easy to him.

The Cutters first took notice of Franklin when they caught him trying to steal a box of Choco-Slurps from one of the lieutenants. Normally they would have taken a hand for such disrespect, but the lieutenant laughed it off and made the kid a deal. "Come back tomorrow and I'll give you a chance to earn those Slurps." In no time at all, Franklin was stealing for the Cutters, and he was given the nickname, "Pockets."

Graduation

Pockets was quiet enough and cool enough that the gang decided he could handle more responsibility. Before he had even hit puberty, a gun was placed into his hand, and he was told to kill a man. To this day, he regrets not asking who the man was, but he took that gun, walked right up to the man on the street, and pulled the trigger. In that moment, he froze. He just stood there and watched the man die. It wasn't until a crowd began to form that Pockets dropped the gun and ran. From that day on, Pockets was a hitman for the Cutters.

Prison

Pockets was 17 when a job went wrong. He was tasked to accompany a particularly dangerous Cutters enforcer named Lichtenberg. Pockets was just there to make sure things stayed quiet. The mark was Lichtenberg's to kill. However, the best of plans can go astray, and when Pockets saw an opportunity to kill the mark, clean and easy, he took it. Lichtenberg was enraged. The madman began killing everyone on site, indiscriminately. He took his time. He reveled in the bloodshed. The scene was horrific.

Pockets was stunned. When the cops arrived, Pockets was as frozen as he had been on the day of his first killing. Lichtenberg was long gone, so Pockets took the fall. He kept his mouth shut, and the Cutters paid for the finest lawyers in Seattle. In the end, Pockets only served four years in prison. When he got out, he was a made man.

Into the Shadows

Pockets was proven effective and loyal. So, Pappy saw fit to begin selling Pockets' services to the highest bidder. Pickpocket. Gunman. Hardened Criminal. A quiet professional. Job offers came pouring in. The only question was how much could Pockets earn?

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

  • Nothing Stronger than Family - Made Man - Pockets is never truly alone. As part of the Cutters, Pockets is part of a brotherhood.
  • Gentle Gunman in the Streets, Gun Freak in the Sheets - Sharpshooter, Brand Loyalty (Ruger Super Warhawk) - Pockets is a hitman for the Cutters, but he prefers to keep things quiet and professional. He never seeks bloodshed for the sake of bloodshed. However, Pockets is a complete gun nut and he collects Ruger catalogs the way a healthier man might collect porn.
  • One Man's Trash is another Raccoon Shaman's Treasure - Mentor Spirit (Raccoon) -
  • The Key to Comedy is Timing - Perfect Time -

Negative

  • Bleeds Gold and Green - Thug Life -
  • Can't Keep a Good Thug Down - Criminal SIN -
