It was the one and only practical course she ever graduated from as the top of her class, warranting the interest of Mitsuhama's talent scouts. Recognizing a null wizard when they saw one, they offered Yvonne a well-paying position at MCT where her talents would be appreciated for what they truly were. The offer was not the kind its recipient gets to refuse, but she did so anyway. Five days later, her parents were detained by the Atlantean Foundation's corpsec squads for treason and corporate espionage. The message was clear: her life would only get worse the longer she'd refuse MCT's offer. | |||
