Summary

After high-school, Gulliver Swift snuck into college to see how it was. By chance, he ended up in a lecture about hostage negociations. It was intriguing!
After two and a half years he'd visited enough classes to graduate, except that he had never registered with the university, nor paid any tuition. A college education is expensive. He didn't have the money. He found a way to learn. Just not a way to get an official diploma. Who cares? Knowledge is what counts in this world. "Yeah, right."
As a fresh graduate without official records and accreditation, Gulliver waits tables in Touristville as he figures out how to become a professional (hostage-) negotiator for a security company.
Little does he know that he's bound for The Shadows. Reality is brutal for those without proper papers.

Goals

Get a job as hostage negotiatior at a security firm, or chrisis negotiator for a mercinary unit.

Background

A Redmond kid who was allways good in school and rarely had time for trouble because he was studying all the time. Just "graduated" from college, where he snuck into lectures around negotiations and law-enforcement, completed the curriculum for high treat hostage negotiators but never got any accreditation because he was never enrolled, nor could he have afforded tuition.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Positive

Bilingual, English and Spanish:
Gulliver grew up in a spanish speaking block in Redmond and his English speaking parents were too high to realize they had enrolled him into a spanish speaking christian kindergarden. I think they never realized and am certain they wouldn't have cared.
College Education:
After graduating from high-school, he snuck into college lectures and finished the curriculum for high treat hostage negotiators. Since he never registered, nor paid tuitions, he doesn't have any grades, nor diploma.
Steely Eyed Wheelman:
The only way to afford going out with his fellow students was to be the dedicated sober driver while the others got drunk and paid his cover-fees and soft-drinks. Cop-students are known to be the worst law-breakers, so they often got into "situations" they had to escape from quickly. This was how Gulliver realized his natural talent for driving.

Tries to look proper and professional. Good enough for Redmond, but too cheap for downtown. Gotta get a shadow-job and start climbing the latter. Shirts are allways ironed with starch, shoes allways well polished, hair allways gut, face allways shaven. Clean. Has added small details to the his attire which don't look expensive but really raise the mood and show that he's not ignorant to commonly accepted business attire, just too broke to fit in perfectly.
