Summary
An Ares experiment who awakened and escaped, the metallic Messenger 7 follows the will of her mentor, Azazel himself. Adept in combat using both heavy weapons and the sword, Aya provides tough, determined, awakened muscle to jobs that need it, despite her youth and relative inexperience. Plagued by the whispers of her mentor spirit Azazel, she uses her magic primarily to supplement her physical prowess.
Motivations
Actualization
Aya likes being good at what she does, even if what she does isn't very nice. She keeps shadowrunning and working for her fixer because it's the only way she can put the grueling training she went through as a child to use and follow the path of her shadowy mentor.
Acceptance
Aya spent most of her life in a secret facility being emotionally manipulated by Ares researchers. She is understandably quite hungry for a sense of belonging and trust. The label "shadowrunner" and being part of a "shadow community" help assure her that she isn't completely insane.
Background
An experimental clone created by the Ares Megacorporation in the wake of the matrix disasters of the '60s, Experiment 0 was given her title when, after 10 years of nourishment and training, flaws in her genetic programming crippled her physical acuity and rendered her a "0". Sequestered away from the other clones for use as a genetic test case, Experiment 0's awakening went mostly unnoticed until she encountered the Elder God whose knowledge would enable her to escape her confinement, Azazel. Due to her physical infirmities, security around Experiment 0 was focused mainly on keeping the unwelcome out rather than her in, so with the application of a few choice spells, the newly-minted mystic adept was able to break out of the facility in the Barrens in which she was kept, levitating her way out of the security net and into scenic, crime-infested Redmond.
Quickly attracting attention for her freakish looks and outsized magical power, the experiment found herself approached by a shadowy fixer. Drawn in by offers of complimentary 'ware to reverse her degeneration, the newly- minted 'Aya Wave', alias Messenger 7, found herself a shadowrunner.

Prototype Transhuman
Created in a bout of blue-sky thinking that followed Crash 2.0, Messenger 7 was created with mental and physical augmentations that put her beyond most baseline humans. These changes have affected her circadian rhythms, and she thereby suffers from insomnia.
Big Regret
Messenger 7 doesn't like thinking about her past as a genetic experiment and lab rat, preferring to throw herself into her new career and found purpose as a shadowrunner.
Albinism I
While her eyes work fine in sunlight, Ares' genetic meddling left Aya with a greatly reduced capacity to create melanin, leaving her eerily pale and sensitive to UV.
Mentor Spirit: Dragonslayer (Azazel)
Azazel is one of the Fallen Ones, angels who fell to venality and taught humanity secrets not meant for them. Azazel taught man the ways of war and deception, enhancing Aya's skill with Combat spells and rescuing her mediocre social skills. As a creature of the Lord's Law, Azazel remains bound by his word, and this applies to Aya as well.
Poor Self-Control (Combat Monster)
As Experiment 0, Aya spent years of her life festering over her physical inability to commit the violence that she was made to exact. Now that cyberlimbs have rendered her able to fight again, Aya is loath to retreat from an opportunity to do it.
