The tenuous peace in Newt's life was broken during a scrapping expedition when she received a vision from a rusted claw hammer. It was of a high rise apartment, nicer than she had ever seen, and the brutal murder of a dwarf with violet eyes. The dwarf watched her killer silently, unblinking even as the hammer fell, and right before the metal met bone Newt had a realization. Those eyes were looking at her. They pierced through the astral and bored into Newt, perceiving every fiber of her being. Their gaze met hers with a single, overriding request: find them, and finish their story. | |||
