Kitsune is a bodysnatcher and a reporter. KO and become the target, in short order.

Goals

Kitsune wants to reveal the dirty underbelly of the world, but doesn't mind getting her hands dirty to do so.

Background

Kitsune started out as an up-and-coming journalistic intern, keen to work with KSAF, from 16. Her knack with languages made her an obvious choice to assist with interviewing locals of various ethnicities for public interest pieces.

One fateful day, while conducting some interviews for a public interest piece in a relatively peaceful part of Touristville, she had to go to the bathroom and popped into a nearby bar. Once inside, she noted that a lot of the people here appeared to be humans, and looked at her as if she was covered in something unsavory. She didn't particularly care, given her reasons for coming in, and carried on her business. Unfortunately, these humans happened to be Humanis, and one of them followed her into the bathroom. However, Kitsune was not alone; it turns out a Pixie had zipped in for much the same reason, but had elected to take the window rather than the door, actually knowing these streets a bit better, but still being kinda desperate. The pixie, it turns out, was not anywhere near as unprepared for a scuffle as the young elf, or the racist. One pair of pixie-sized knucks later, and the human was out cold on the floor while the pixie was making sure Kitsune was alright. Kitsune was very not alright, and was in fact having a fairly severe panic attack, thinking about how stupid she was, how lucky she was, how stupid she was, and how screwed she was now having to walk back through the bar filled with this guy's friends with a split lip and nothing more, after the sounds of a fairly energetic scuffle. It was, however, at this point that Kitsune Awakened, and with the pixie's help to calm down and focus, managed to disguise herself as the human well enough to walk out and past 'his' friends, with a little assistance from Pixie Concealment.

Kitsune formed a close bond with the Pixie, who she learned was called Alessa, and owned a (much less discriminatory) club nearby.

Kitsune continued to refine her talent, quickly becoming a skilled infiltrator and using those skills to break stories for KSAF. Alessa offered her a way to get more... interesting scoops, straight from the shadows, and Kitsune happily agreed to it, albeit with a bit of a nudge from her mentor at work, Carly.

Narrative Significant Qualities

Dependent - Kitsune's little sister Juliette staying with her while she attends college in Seattle; apparently they've got a decent magical course. The rest of their family lives in Chicago, and reasoned it can't be that much more dangerous than Bug City.

Day Job - KSAF Reporter: No longer just an intern, Kitsune works leads and does interviews 3 hours a day (1100-1400) Monday-Saturday, with 2 hours on Sunday (1100-1300) to collate all the things into articles for Monday.

Linguist - Kitsune's got a talent for languages that comes with her knack for blending in.

Haunted House - Kitsune's house is prone to... shenanigans. It's stood unattended for years as a result. She's not sure what's causing the haunting, and neither is her landlord, but between the dilapidation and the regular incursions of stuff, the rent's super cheap. She's set up a small magical lodge to protect herself and her sister from the things while they sleep, so that's nice.
