Overview
A mysterious ghoul discovered in the Ork Underground, Nameless had been at first a devout Christian dedicated to looking after the ghoul horde of Renton. Victims of Tamanous organ farms, driven insane by their succumbing to the Krieger Strain of HMHVV and left to wander beneath the surface, he had corralled these ferals and turned them into a fearsome horde few would dare to oppose. After being pressured by several factions with violence and utter eradication, he'd made the bold move to evacuate his 'congregation' to the SOX, beneath the surface of Glow City. Risking radiation and toxic shamans is preferable, in his eyes, to being slaughtered like sacrificial lambs on the altar of selfish agendas.
Evidently, even this was not enough. After the feral population of the Ork Underground began to thin, Renraku increased its presence in Seattle's undergroun tunnels. Nameless' horde was found, some of it destroyed and some of it captured alive. Nameless himself fled to the SSC for a time before returning. After the events of Who's Side are We On? he is a drastically changed man. He speaks often in riddles and metaphors and shows no sign of his previous religious fervor. On the contrary, he detests the very idea of gods, blaming them for the suffering he's been through.
Notes For A GM
- Nameless has vague memories of his time as a contact thus far and as a result while he might talk oddly and not treat PCs as acquaintances, he'll know what they've done together.
- Doesn't fear death and suffers from a massive host of health issues which cause him daily pain. He doesn't show it, though, since his mental strength is unparalleled. Max Willpower right here.
- 8+ hits on Assensing reveal a top rate cybersuite implanted in his body, far more than just the cybereyes he seems to have. He shows no love for God and religious actions seem to repel his interest.
- His weapon of choice is a long, hiltless blade. Think of a massive curved blade sharpened from tip to tip, only having one end wrapped in cloth. It's a very high force Weapon Focus and an Athame, although he isn't a blood mage.
Aspects Description
Aspect | Description |
---|---|
Christian Cult Classic | As a result of his late possession, Nameless remembers a much about various faiths - cults, religions and sects. |
Underground Underdog | Nameless spent many a year in darkness, wandering the Ork Underground of the Seattle Sprawl. As a result, he has extensive knowledge of the threats and routes one might care to know of when entering the labyrinthine tunnels. |
Judicious Judicator | As a skilled adept, Nameless can offer not only spiritual but physical training to Awakened individuals seeking to master martial arts of various kinds. He specializes in swordsmanship but all adepts can ask him for tutelage. |
Gloomy Glow Ghoul | Nameless has extensive memories about the Seattle Sprawl's SOX. If you need something related to the place, he's probably got an idea. And a place to stay. |
EVO Encyclopedia | For some reason, Nameless has specific knowledge of EVO blacksites, extraterritorial regions, research facilities, security procedures and even most currently active research projects that don't have the highest of classified statuses. This knowledge extends past the Seattle Sprawl; his knowledge is at times outdated, but his reach is global. |
Mana Mentor | Nameless' area of teaching has shifted from the dangers of toxic magic to resisting foreign influences. Gangers hate his lessons, but other teachers approve of the meditative aspects he teaches especially to conjurers. |
