She lacks the ability to empathize and finds that most emotions (as others describe them) just don't exist in her brain. To cover for her lack, her mother instilled in to her from a very early age that she is a proper Southern Lady - sweet, kind, and charming to everyone she comes into contact with. Her condition is less apparent within the Matrix as she finds herself much more comfortable in a predictable world. When a therapist in her teens discovered she also suffers from synesthesia, he pushed her to develop a creative outlet as a means of relaxation, reflection, and social icebreakers - she carries a sketch pad and pencil wherever she goes now. | |||
