Bored. Simply bored with everything. That's how he felt while working for Horizon as a insurance claims adjuster. Until he started snooping around and found things he wasn't meant to find. Now he's on the run, and a runner to boot. Not exactly living the high life anymore, but a guy's gotta do what he's gotta do to survive right?
Climb the Shadowhaven ladder out of mediocrity.
Hurt Horizon; big, small, it don't matter as long as it costs them something in the long run. Or the short. It don't really matter.
Maybe find a way to get rid of this bounty?
Born in Everett, Steven Smith was destined to a life of mediocrity. Never pushing himself, never exploring his limits, Steven graduated school and went straight into insurance, working for a lesser division of the Horizon Group. Eventually, he was placed in the claims department, and made it to investigator due to his consistent ability to never push the envelope, or more importantly, to never ask the dangerous questions of why. Steven never felt the desire to explore the nuances of corporate fraud; it was simply his job to find a way to make things come out in the favor of Horizon. Everything was coming out the way it should, until that fateful day when he chose to ask all the wrong questions...
Now Bland is on the run, and wanted by one of the most powerful corporations on the planet. He's done what he can to change who he was, and lives on the edge of poverty to hide from his foes. He hasn't decided yet if he's living in fear or plotting revenge, but once he figures that out one way or the other there's going to be hell to pay.
