That's also what her mentor spirit wants her to do. Since they agree that more heads should be busted and Riot is the one who should be making them that way, they get along pretty well. Goals A good fight. Improve the barrens Background Ivy Davis was born on the streets, and taught very early on that the corps were horrible. She thought that made a lot of sense and did not argue with them. She grew through a very unimpressive and typical childhood. Some boys pulled her hair when she was young and she punched them in the nose. She had a crush on someone whose name she can't even remember anymore. At one point she got to taste a real avocado. All in all, it was all a very boring childhood. At least until puberty, when things got very not-boring. As she reached puberty, she began to awaken with strong magical talents. Puberty is already a very confusing time for a young girl, and it doesn't get any easier when you find that you can now cause streams of acid to appear and fly across the room just by thinking about how much you don't like something over there. As is typical, the corps caught wind of her and wanted to recruit her, but Ivy refused. She felt a great connection to something so much larger, and wanted to explore that first. At least, this was a good enough excuse to say she would call them later after she was interested. The truth was, she just didn't want to. She started getting involved in underground fights. Not as a participant of course. Even underground fight clubs tend to frown on someone melting their opponent's face off. But she always wished she could. The fights excited her. Her desire to be a part of this violence grew and grew until it manifested as her new mentor spirit. The berserker shared her desire to fight, and offered guidance to this end. It was actually the berserker's idea to go out and just look for people who wanted someone who could get in a fight. By now, she was calling herself Riot, because no self-respecting shadowrunner would be using their actual name while looking around for someone they can throw lightning at. And Riot is eager to fight, and feel that adrenaline rush through her body. Helped guide Riot out of a ghoul's meat locker after she nearly died. After crawling through the sewers and fighting off a bunch of rats, Riot finally escaped and returned to her life. Her association with Hotaru brought some amount of guidance to her path, allowing Riot some degree of Common Sense. As Riot was already bound via their pact, she sought to deepen that bond, and used that pact as a foundation to form a deeper one. In exchange for a ludicrous amount of Karma, Riot and Hotaru formed a new pact, with Hotaru greatly empowered as Riot's ally spirit.
