Born somewhere in Greece, to a family of blacksmiths, Yorgos had a modest upbringing with minimal reliance on technology, except what was needed nowadays to function, granted it is surprising how many things you can do without the use of advanced technology. He began to learn the family trade when he became of age, after some years of practice, joining the local militia for a while and along other things he decided to travel overseas so see what they had to offer.
