Character Information
Summary
The unfortunate result of either the hazards of her occupation or surgical mishap, Poppet has no driving personality of her own, relying on chipped-in personas that inhabit her body for hours or days at a time. Without her 'fix, she is shiftless and docile, but with the right chip, she transforms into an imposing physical or social force, allowing her to serve as a subtle social or physical infiltrator that is also a deadly threat.
Her 'fixes are:
Karen - A domestically-inclined wageslave, she takes point on managing Poppet's daily life and finances, but is generally too stuffy and neurotic for the nitty-gritty of shadowrunning.
X3cution - A stoic, almost shy assassin and secret romantic, she takes command of combat situations and sneaking around, but has difficulty establishing a rapport with her team or her marks.
The Jazz - A hard-partying type, The Jazz is always up for a good time, and is remarkably flexible and friendly for a shadowrunner, though their impulse control is questionable.
Ms. Delacroix - A ruthless social climber, she enjoys probing and manipulating people, but is disgusted by the prospect of getting her hands dirty and quite cowardly.
Goals
While Poppet's separate personas have varying individual desires and impulses, they generally share the goal of maintaining their collective safety and comfort, and generally choose to do so by working runs, since their skills are so oriented towards criminality. Poppet is also interested in investigating her having been "blanked" and the roughly 6-month period afterward of which she recalls nothing, perhaps eventually finding a way to reconstruct her former personality and create a p-fix based on her.
Background
Poppet started running years ago under a different name, but is reticent about her past beyond that. The obvious is that she is a veteran of a few years, who operated outside of Seattle before being "blanked" under mysterious circumstances. Nonetheless, she still has most of the skills she did before, though she sometimes seems rusty or forgetful. Poppet can sometimes be stirred to action by threat to her equipment, in particular her high-fashion armor clothing, because she views it as the remains of the life she lost.
Narrative Significant Qualities
Blank Slate - Poppet operates as a collection of four personas who share uptime on one body. While they all have Vanessa's skills and share memories, their dispositions make them more or less suited for certain tasks. The effects of this do not only manifest when Poppet is on the job, the difficulties inherent in managing four separate personalities as one person mean that she has genuine difficulty managing her life, and she needs to periodically copy her personas into new chips so that they don't wear out.
Brand Loyalty (Product) (Ares Monowhip) - Poppet implicitly trusts in her ability to use the monowhip, even her less physically-inclined personas will use it when the chips are down, and use it well at that.
Phobia (Uncommon, Mild: Security Bots) - While Poppet can't clearly remember the events before she was "blanked", she feels instinctively uneasy when faced with security bots.
Bad Rep: Who'd she kill again? A member of like... some gang? I don't really know, all those guys got geeked in the line of action or died when one of their labs went up. Might have happened, I guess? Who can tell these days...

Appearance
Clothing
For convenience's sake, Poppet usually wears fairly nondescript clothing on the job, except when the situation calls for a specific outfit she has. In their downtime, each of her personas wears one of a few outfits she owns that suits their attitude, although X3cution rarely slots in off the job.
Matrix Persona
To avoid causing undue confusion, Poppet's four personas share one matrix persona, an androgynous white humanoid with no facial features and a bold letter P in their place. They each alter this persona slightly by dressing it in clothes that suit their individual fashion sense: Karen puts on a pantsuit, X3cution a tuxedo, The Jazz wears jewelry - nothing else and Ms. Delacroix a princess-style ballgown.
